NFL Replacement Refs Receive Hilarious Send off in Memoriam

So long, replacement referees. 

We will always remember you. Perhaps not fondly, but your image and the calls you made will be etched into our minds like a tattoo, a permanent reminder of what you gave this game. 

Though your time in the NFL was brief, you made quite a difference in this magical league. Well, "difference" may be the wrong word. I think I am searching for the word "impact." You made quite the impact. 

No, that's not it. 

What's the word for something that simultaneously ignites while also demolishing with a sledgehammer?

Whatever that word is, that's what you gave to this NFL we love so much, and the sultry sounds of Sarah McLachlan singing "I Will Remember You" will be played in its entirety for the first time ever in this household, because our time together has been that special.
