There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Sam Bradford, QB, St. Louis Rams

Bradford, my sleeper pick this week at quarterback, threw for 310 yards and three TDs. He could be worth rostering.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

Threw for 301 yards with two TDs and an INT. Added 25 rushing yards. Not a guy I’d want on my team though. Bills have been bad defensively so I don’t think this was a true test for Cassel.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Josh Freeman, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Threw for 243 yards and a pair of scores. His two INTs weren’t good, but he formed a good rapport with Vincent Jackson. Worth having for QB depth.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Kevin Kolb, QB, Arizona Cardinals

Kolb threw for 140 yards and a touchdown. He added 20 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Look elsewhere though.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Christian Ponder, QB, Minnesota Vikings

Ponder threw for 245 yards on 27 of 35 passing with a pair of scores. There are too many good options to roster Ponder though.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brandon Weeden, QB, Cleveland Browns

Threw for 322 yards and a pair of scores. Promising, but not a fantasy option.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Jackie Battle, RB, San Diego Chargers

Ran for 69 yard and a pair of scores. Mathews should be back next week so it’s probably not worth adding Battle.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Andre Brown, RB, New York Giants

Ran for 71 yards and a score. Added 19 receiving yards. Worth adding if Bradshaw misses time.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Shaun Draughn, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Ran for 56 yards on five carries and caught one pass for 23 yards. Too crowded of a backfield.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Cleveland Browns

Caught six passes for 73 yards. Probably a fluke.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Daryl Richardson, RB, St. Louis Rams

Ran for 83 yards and added 19 through the air. Should be rostered in most leagues. With Steven Jackson dealing with a groin injury, Richardson is a must have.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Donnie Avery, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Avery caught nine passes on ten targets for 111 yards. The Vikings secondary is horrible. I’d hold off on adding Avery.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis Rams

Scored for the second straight week. Not quite ready to add him.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brian Hartline, WR, Miami Dolphins

Caught nine passes on twelve targets for 111 yards. I’d add him in PPR leagues.

Ruling:  Get ‘em – PPR Leagues

Andrew Hawkins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

A week after recording 86 receiving yards he had 56 and a score. I’d monitor him, but hold off for now.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brandon LaFell, WR, Carolina Panthers

For the second straight week LaFell had a nice game. He caught six passes on eight targets for 90 yards. He added 25 rushing yards. He’s a solid option in a rising offense.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Cleveland Browns

Caught five passes for 70 yards and a score. I don’t trust the Browns offense.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Andre Roberts, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Roberts scored for the second straight week. Unfortunately he caught just one pass for two yards.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brandon Tate, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Caught three passes for 71 yards and a score. I’d like to see more before considering him.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Mike Williams, WR, Tampa Buccaneers

Caught three passes for 59 yards and a score for the second straight week.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Martellus Bennett, TE, New York Giants

Caught five passes for 72 yards and scored for the second straight week. Looking like a good option.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Brent Celek, TE, Philadelphia Eagles

Caught eight passes for 157 yards on 11 targets. If Maclin misses time, Celek should be more involved in the passing game.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.

Scott Chandler, TE, Buffalo Bills

Scored for the second straight week. Has just 91 yards in two weeks. I’d wait until at least the bye weeks to think about plugging him in.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Todd Heap, TE, Arizona Cardinals

Caught five passes for 62 yards on nine targets. He isn’t worth a roster spot with his injury history.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Brandon Myers, TE, Oakland Raiders

Caught all six of his targets for 86 yards. Has two solid games. Keep an eye on him.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Dante Rosario, TE, San Diego Chargers

Took advantage of Gates’ absence with three TDs. Repeat success isn’t likely.

Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings

Rudolph caught three passes on five targets for 35 yards and a score. He’s a solid TE2 and borderline TE1.

Ruling:  Get ‘em.
