The Indianapolis Colts will travel to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Redskins on Saturday afternoon. It will be the third contest of the preseason for both teams; both are 1-1 in play so far. The game will feature two regular preseason foes.

The Colts have played the Redskins more than any other opponent in the preseason, playing Washington 28 times. Indianapolis leads the overall series in the preseason 15-12-1.

The two teams played last season in Lucas Oil Stadium and the Redskins dominated the Colts 16-3.

In the regular season, the two teams have played 29 times; the Colts lead that series 19-10 including a 27-24 win on Sunday Night Football back in 2010. That was also the last time Indy traveled to take on the Redskins at FedEx Field.

Before that win in 2010, the Colts hadn't won in Washington since 1967.

The story that will get the most hype leading up to, during, and after the game will be the Andrew Luck vs. Robert Griffin III matchup. The two men were the first and second picks in the 2012 NFL Draft and the battle for bragging rights will be on.

Luck currently looks like the real deal and has upstaged Griffin III through two games, but he's also had more playing time. I expect both quarterbacks to play well into the third quarter on Saturday, as both rookies will have only one more game until the regular season starts.
