The man formerly known as Chad Ochocino isn't doing so well after reprising his role as Chad Johnson. His alleged domestic battery charge forced him from the Miami Dolphins, and now it cost him a reality TV series as well.

As ESPN reports, Chad Johnson was arrested for domestic battery on Sunday, charged with head-butting his wife and reality TV star Evelyn Lozada.

The team cut ties with the embattled star on Sunday, via the Miami Dolphins' Twitter:

Johnson will apparently now lose out on what was sure to be a lucrative series with his wife, entitled Ev and Ocho.

TMZ reports that VH1 is pulling out of a series that is already completed due to the domestic charges levied on star Chad Johnson:

Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series 'Ev and Ocho' from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.

The report continues to describe what this spin-off of the popular Basketball Wives was supposed to be. In short, it would cover the courtship of two people with huge personalities from dating to walking down the aisle.

We could see how an arrest of this nature would throw a wrench in a show that would follow "the journey of this charismatic and passionate couple's every step, as they prepare to walk down the aisle and into each other's hearts forever," according to TMZ

Johnson is now without a day job and a lucrative show that would no doubt have been as popular as the original Basketball Wives. And if there is any real justice, he would be without Lozada as well.

While these are allegations and Johnson has not been convicted of a crime, we can't help but think he has bigger worries than merely getting on an NFL team. Image and a spot on a roster are secondary to him getting some help.

You never, ever hit a woman—something that really shouldn't have to be written, repeated or reminded. If you do, you may just get a permanent seat on the sidelines like Chad Johnson.
