Back in April, Nike showed the world its ideas for the new NFL jerseys to be worn during the 2012 season. Before the real uniforms were revealed, there were many different proposed jersey ideas.

When the uniforms were finally revealed, there were very little modifications in physical appearance. From a fan's point of view, I was hoping for a little more change than what I saw. I thought Nike could have really taken the jerseys to the next level.

In this slideshow, I will be showing the top 10 proposed ideas for the Nike Pro Combat uniforms, designed by fans.

Enjoy!

10: Buffalo Bills

Coming in at the No. 10 spot are the Buffalo Bills with a very cool-looking jersey.

The shirt and pants almost resemble the current Nike jersey that the Bills wear, but the change is in the helmet. The Bills don’t have a blue helmet in any of their schemes, but I’m starting to think they should have one because it really completes the entire jersey.

9: Cincinnati Bengals

At No. 9, we have the Bengals.

Nike did a really nice job in taking the tiger stripes and incorporating them into the jersey. This jersey is covered from head to toe in tiger stripes, which really makes it stand out from all the rest.

8: Oakland Raiders

The Raiders have always tried to have a scary look associated with their team. The fans were always frightening, but never really the uniforms.

Nike has incorporated a mix of black and grey throughout the uniform, the same as their old one. The difference here is that the colors are now blended together.

This is a very intimidating uniform; now, they just need an intimidating team.

7: Houston Texans

At No. 7, we have the Houston Texans. There is very little change in the color scheme of the uniform.

The red, white and blue can still be found throughout the uniform, but what I liked was the change in the design and color of the numbers. That change really made the jersey much more appealing and gave it such a great look.

6: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens' real jersey is one of my most favorite in the league. I wasn't sure if Nike could make it look better, but I was clearly wrong.

The color scheme stays the same, but like the Texans' jersey, the minor details like numbering and lettering make the jersey stand out as a whole. They also seem to have gotten rid of the raven logo on the helmet and switched it to the letter "B."

5: Arizona Cardinals

This jersey resembles the Cardinals' 2010 uniform that they wore, but instead of white pants, they now have black, red and white pants.

You may also notice the change in the logo on the helmet, which I personally like better than the original. With that being said, this is one sharp uniform.

4: San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have one of the more traditional red-and-gold looks. I like that Nike didn't try to use that, but instead went with an all-black look.

The black on black looks much better than the regular red and gold, and that is why this is one of the best in the league.

3: Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks' jersey underwent the most significant physical-appearance changes this offseason.

This jersey actually almost resembles the current one that Nike designed for them. I like how they put the lime green into the arm sleeves and didn't overuse that color. By far, this jersey is the best in the NFC West.

2: San Diego Chargers

The Chargers have always had a nice jersey, but this one blew me away when I saw it. This is a jersey that you either love or hate when you see it; there is no in-between. Some people may think that there is too much blue on this jersey, but I say otherwise.

This is one of my favorites here.

1: Detroit Lions

Calvin Johnson gets the Madden 13 cover and his team also gets the No. 1 spot on this list.

Not only is this one of the coolest NFL jerseys I've ever seen, but it's one of the all-time best. I really wish Nike would have gone through with these designs because this one is off the charts. I am a big fan of the all-black look with that little bit of Detroit's blue mixed in.
