2012 NFL Draft Results: Tracking the Top 50 Undrafted Free Agents

Undrafted free agents are the unsung heroes of the NFL. They make up the special teams, practice squads and even, on occasion, find themselves making Pro Bowls.

Teams take into account what players they know may still be available after the draft concludes from the beginning of their draft preparation and make their picks with that information in mind.

Oftentimes there are very popular names that fail to be drafted, despite having played for major colleges and in big-time BCS games.
