The Chicago Bears entered the third round of the 2012 NFL draft still needing help on offensive line, but instead selected safety Brandon Hardin from Oregon State. According to Bleacher Report Draft Expert Matt Miller, Hardin hits well, but has limited range. Chicago should have bolstered the offensive line, but chose to overlook the position, and it may be to their detriment.

Finally, Seattle’s choice of Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson in Round 3 comes as a shocker, considering the team signed Matt Flynn from Green Bay in free agency. Wilson is undersized and leaves some wondering if he’ll be able to be successful on the pro level.

On Day 1, Cleveland made one of the best trades and picks for running back Trent Richardson. But, on Day 2, the Browns made one of the most perplexing selections of the night in Cincinnati DT John Hughes from Cincinnati. Hughes was not on anyone’s big board, and little is known about his potential on the next level.

Find out more about the worst picks of the third round with Matt Miller.
