Bobby Petrino: Jessica Dorrell Scandal Further Proves NFL Shouldn't Trust Coach

While the scandal that rocked the Arkansas Razorbacks football program is nothing compared to the recent scandals in college football, the depth of the Bobby Petrino/Jessica Dorrell scandal proves that the NFL shouldn’t trust the former coach.
Should the NFL Give Bobby Petrino Another Chance?
Not only did the former head coach break the rules in terms of hiring employees, his immoral misconduct and penchant for lying make him an absolute terrible leader. What player would trust a man like Petrino after what he has put people through over the years?
After paying off a mistress and breaking the trust of everyone he came in contact with in his last two jobs, the idea that an NFL team would hire the coach is crazy. But as crazy as it is, there is already possible interest in signing the troubled coach.
NFL insider for CBSports.com Mike Freeman reported about possible interest from the NFL already:
Unbelievably, I'm hearing there's NFL interest in Petrino as a position coach.

As if the NFL needed more of a reason after Petrino’s stint with the Atlanta Falcons, let’s not forget that after taking on the rebuilding project known as Michael Vick and dealing with his subsequent arrest, Petrino swore to the Atlanta franchise that he would still be their man.
Less than 24 hours later, Petrino was the head coach of the Razorbacks.
While the fact that the situation in Atlanta was not what he signed up for is fair, and possibly even grounds to leave the job, it was the way he did it that soured the whole franchise. It's that feeling that will resonate with NFL organizations.
At every job interview, employers will ask for previous experience and for references. I know of two former employers that Petrino won’t be listing.
