Moss visited Santa Clara today to work out for the 49ers, and wouldn't you know it? Jim Harbaugh was the one tossing him the ball.

Projecting NFL Teams Most Likely to Tank for 2027 📉

Report: Seahawks Sign Veteran Edge
He spent only 15 minutes working out on the field, but apparently Harbaugh and Trent Baalke saw all they needed to see.
Anthony "Boobie" Dixon liked what he saw, too.
This gives the 49ers an instant upgrade in their aerial attack, which was one of the worst in the NFL last season. The team had hoped to fill the void in 2011 by signing Braylon Edwards, but he turned out to be a colossal failure when he couldn't stay healthy.
The 49ers will be counting on Moss to stretch the field, which will open up the entire offense. Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree and the rest of the receivers should now have much more room to operate in the middle of the field with Moss running rampant in the deep secondary.
Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter should like this deal, too. Far too often in 2011 the 49ers' rushing attack became engulfed by eight- and nine-man fronts as opposing defenses weren't afraid to get beat deep.
Don't expect the 49ers to stand pat after this deal. The free-agency signing period begins tomorrow at 4 p.m. EST, and there are still many areas the team is looking to improve.
"Source: Randy Moss is still in the Bay Area, of course, and will probably sign 1-year deal tonight with 49ers. (He has agreed to terms.)
