2012 NFL Mock Draft: Introducing Chris Polk, the Best RB in This Year's Class
He rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons. He averaged more than five yards per carry during his college career with 25 touchdowns.
Throw in the fact that he had at least 22 receptions over that span and you know which top running back I'm talking about.
Still not quite sure?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This will help.
He's 5'11'' and ranges between a chiseled 220 or 225 pounds.
Trent Richardson, right?
Wrong.
I'm talking about the Washington Huskies dynamic runner, Chris Polk.
This guy is extremely talented with loads of NFL potential and unfortunately, the majority of the nation isn't aware of him.
I wouldn't exactly call him a head-down, run-you-over back, but he certainly has the build to take on tacklers and drag them for extra yardage.
Instead he utilizes his deceptive speed and fantastic lateral agility to elude defenders. He can run between the tackles but is fast enough to be featured on outside runs and can break the big play on occasion.
His longest run was 61 yards this year and 72 in 2010.
This is not to take away from Richardson, who's a fantastic back in his own right. I'm just worried that his bull-dozing running style could lead to injuries at the next level and although he's shifty, he doesn't cut nearly as quickly on the spot as Polk does.
His skill set isn't only thing that has me so high on him.
He's played in bad weather in Seattle. The cold, the rain you name it. He's built for that type of weather, actually.
Also, Polk didn't play on great teams at Washington. Definitely not a bad thing. He's dealt with all the negativity that surrounds losing and that goes far for a guy entering a league in which he might not be immediately successful.
Lastly, he knows what it's like to be apart of an offense with a marquee, big-name quarterback that grabs all the headlines. When he was racking up 1,415 yards at 5.4 yards per carry in 2010, the media and scouts were coming to see Jake Locker.
Think something similar could possibly reoccur in the pro ranks?
A lot of times a running back's professional career is dependent on which team drafts them, but Polk has everything needed to be the most productive NFL back in the 2012 class.
Think a nice mix between Marshawn Lynch and LaDainian Tomlinson.
