Patriots Score 50 Points for 7th Time in 8 Seasons
The New England Patriots hit the 50-point mark for the seventh time in the last eight seasons in Sunday's 51-23 win over the Chicago Bears, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Incredibly, no other team has more than three 50-point performances over the same span, with only the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles having even three, per pro-football-reference.com's play index.
In fact, since the beginning of the 2007 season, the Patriots have accounted for eight of the 30 50-point performances around the league.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Meanwhile, 15 of the NFL's franchises haven't even had one such showing over the same span, and only six teams have hit the 50-point mark multiple times, with New England (seven), Denver (three) and Philadelphia (three) joined by the New Orleans Saints (two), Seattle Seahawks (two) and San Diego Chargers (two).
Surprisingly enough, only two of New England's 50-point performances came during their memorable 2007 season, with the other outings coming in 2009, 2012 (twice), 2013 and now 2014.
On a less surprising note, Tom Brady was the starting quarterback in each game, as the Patriots failed to record 50 points in a contest when Matt Cassel was under center in 2008.
That 2008 team did come oddly close, however, posting totals of 47, 48 and 49 points over the final six weeks of an 11-win campaign.
