It was a pivotal week for two teams as the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers both clinched a spot in the postseason. The Brewers own the best record in baseball and are well on their way to securing the top seed in the National League, and the Rays are likewise sitting comfortably atop the American League.
The AL East is just about settled at this point, but the Central Division could still go a number of ways. The White Sox are in front right now, though the Guardians are right on their tail.
The Astros are on track to take the AL West crown as they sit a game and a half ahead of the Rangers, but that race is far from over. The Mariners are technically still in the mix as well.
The divisional races in the National League aren't quite as tight as the Brewers, Braves and Dodgers sit atop their respective divisions. The biggest race to watch is between the Padres and the Diamondbacks for the final wild-card spot.
While it's still a few weeks away, the series between San Diego and Arizona to finish the season is setting up to be a decisive one.
