Fantasy Football Week 5: Who Do You Turn to If Andre Johnson Is out
The days are dark in fantasy football land if your team was built around Andre Johnson. Even worse, your team may have had Andre Johnson AND fellow injured super-producing wide receiver Kenny Britt.
If that is the case how are you reading this while not listening to the band Morrissey, The Cure or Dashboard Confessional?
If you’re an owner of Andre Johnson have you been checking the Internet for injury updates every hour on the hour? Have you become a Twitter follower of every Houston Texans beat writer?

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
How have the days gone for you since you saw your No. 1 draft choice go down to the Reliant Stadium Turf clutching his right hamstring after no one was near him?
Well, fear not Andre Johnson owners. Put down the ice cream, turn off Danzig from your iPod, and open the curtains to your windows. There is life after these injuries; and here are five people who can fill the void while your precious heals.
Victor Cruz, New York Giants
Cruz exploded onto the fantasy football scene two weeks ago against the “Dream Team” secondary of the Philadelphia Eagles. Some thought he was a flash in a pan and that he wouldn’t be able to keep up this pace. Last week against the Cardinals, he had a respectable game of 98 yards but no touchdowns.
He will continue to be a nice second option for Eli Manning the rest of this season.
Eric Decker, Denver Broncos
Decker is another receiver like Cruz. He isn’t the main guy in the Denver receiving corps, but he will get his fair share of targets every week. This past week Denver’s number one option, Brandon Lloyd, was back healthy; but Decker still found the end zone twice.
He won’t have seven or eight catches per game every week, but he will find a way to get into the end zone.
Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks
Rice is the main guy in Seattle and he is playing with a quarterback that he is used to from his days in Minnesota. Since coming back from an injury that put him out for all of the last season and the first two games this year he’s had two 100-yard receiving games.
As long as Rice is healthy, he will continue to produce as Seattle’s best option at wide receiver.
A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
Normally, rookies are not reliable fantasy options; especially when they have a rookie quarterback throwing them the ball. But A.J. Green has defied the odds this year with the Bengals.
He’s been on fire this year through four games having two games of over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns on the year.
Green is the main option in Cincinnati and will continue to see his role increase every week.
Denarius Moore, Oakland Raiders
Moore just scores touchdowns. Three games played three touchdowns scored, two receiving, one rushing, he just finds a way to score you at least six points each week. He isn’t the best receiver on the board right now; but he will find a way to score you six or more points each week.
