DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Andre Roberts' Post-Week 8 Fantasy Reaction
With yet another quarterback in Colt McCoy hurling passes to the Washington receivers, the question entering Week 8 against the Cowboys was which Redskins wideouts would continue emerging as his favorite targets.
And experience rose to the occasion, as DeSean Jackson had himself a day in a big win over the Cowboys. Pierre Garcon also found ways to contribute after being blanketed early, while Andre Roberts struggled to make an impact.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackson caught six passes for 136 yards, including a 49-yard bomb that set up a crucial late touchdown. Meanwhile, Garcon notched just four catches for 47 yards and Roberts caught one of his five targets for 11 yards.
The former Eagle proved to be McCoy's favorite target on Sunday, but that could change by the week. For instance, Garcon had five catches for 87 yards and a score—all team-highs—last weekend, but was only thrown to four times Monday night.
Garcon is started in 77.4 percent of leagues while Jackson gets the nod in 55.4 percent. But Jackson's ability to go long better than almost anyone else in the league makes him an increasingly strong fantasy option, per Ben Volin of The Boston Globe:
Jackson and Garcon are great flex-play options at this time of the season with bye weeks taking a toll on lineups and the Redskins offense finding some recent success.
As for Roberts, his production has diminished over the last three games since back-to-back touchdown performances, and he should struggle to validate a roster spot.
Take a look at how the Redskins' upcoming opponents fare against the pass:
| Week 9: at Minnesota | 10th |
| Week 11: vs. Tampa Bay | 24th |
| Week 12: at San Francisco | 4th |
| Week 13: at Indianapolis | 25th |
| Week 14: vs. St. Louis | 7th |
There's no telling when Robert Griffin III will return, as the Redskins played coy with his status all week heading into Monday. But McCoy has been surprisingly accurate and intelligent in hitting the open receiver while taking shots when needed.
After his fourth 100-yard game of the season, it's becoming harder and harder to sit Jackson. Garcon is worth also a play for favorable matchups, but Roberts needs to establish more of a role in the offense before being fantasy relevant.
