Sacramento Kings vs. Miami Heat: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info and More
As we are rapidly approaching the NBA All-Star break, both of these teams are heading in completely different directions. The Miami Heat are winners of six games in a row and have won nine of their last 10 games. Sacramento has lost five games in a row and five of their last six as they're coming off a heartbreaking loss to Cleveland.
The Kings will obviously look for a confidence boost heading into the break and a win in Miami would do the trick. But in order to do so, they're going to need a tremendous effort and a little bit of luck as well. Miami has won the last six games in this meeting with only one of those outcomes being by single-digits.

What's at Stake?
This game doesn't really have much at stake, but with the Chicago Bulls getting Derrick Rose back, the Heat would like to continue winning to keep the best record in the NBA. Sacramento doesn't have much to play for other than pride and trying to climb out of the cellar in the Pacific division.
What They're Saying:
Heat guard Dwayne Wade had a few comments on the Heats current success, but says despite the winning streak, they have yet to accomplish their goals.
"It's great. We're focusing on what we need to do. The only attention we're thinking about is giving each other the attention that we need as a team and making sure that everyone in here knows how they important they are to our success and what our goal is. Our goal is to be the best team in the NBA at the end of the year and not right now.
"
Most Important Player to Watch:
Sacramento Center—DeMarcus Cousins
Since the Heat is the overwhelming favorite, I'll consider the most important player to be somebody on the Kings. If Sacramento is to have any chance to pull off the upset, Cousins must continue to play well.
He's recorded 19 double-doubles this season which is good for fourth in the league and has scored at least 20 points in three of his last five games. With the lack of depth at the center position for Miami, this may be the only advantage the Kings have going into this matchup.
Key Matchup:
Marcus Thornton against LeBron James
James is the likely front-runner for the MVP award in this shortened season, but Thornton is playing extremely well himself. In the month of February he's averaging nearly 20 points per game and a couple assists.
In the three games Thornton has played against Lebron, he's averaged 20 points, including a 37-point performance back in 2010. If he can continue to shoot a high percentage (40 percent on the season) it could make things interesting in this game.
Prediction:
Miami wins: 109-87
I really just don't see the Kings staying in this game at all. Sacramento has the worst defensive team in the league, and struggle to score on top of that. Miami is playing probably their best ball since the 'Big Three' were formed and shouldn't be slowed down by a team that's 10-21 and has only won three games on the road.
Although Miami has had a problem this year playing down to the level of competition, they should be fine and cruise into their big matchup against the New York Knicks on a seven game winning streak.
