New 2027 NFL Mock Draft Drops by ESPN Expert, Arch Manning, Dante Moore, More Landing Spots Revealed

Ahead of the start of the 2026 college football and NFL regular seasons, ESPN NFL draft expert Jordan Reid released an early 2027 NFL mock draft on Wednesday.

Reid projected quarterbacks to come off the board with each of the first three selections, and his top 10 picks look like this:

1. Cleveland Browns: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

2. Arizona Cardinals: Arch Manning, QB, Texas

3. New York Jets: CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

4. Miami Dolphins: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

5. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

6. Tennessee Titans: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina

7. Carolina Panthers: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame

8. New Orleans Saints: Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas

9. New York Giants: Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss

10. Washington Commanders: Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana

Reid included a hypothetical trade in his mock with the Miami Dolphins trading down from No. 1 to No. 4, allowing the Browns to move up and get their much-needed franchise quarterback.

The 2027 draft is shaping up to be a great one in terms of QB talent, and Reid believes Cleveland will go with Oregon's Dante Moore if it gets the opportunity.

Moore surprised many by returning to college rather than entering the 2026 NFL draft, but he now has a chance to firmly establish himself as the top pick in 2027.

In his first full season as a starter, Moore completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, and he figures to get even better in Oregon's high-powered offense.

The Browns' quarterback competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders was a mess leading up to head coach Todd Monken naming Watson the starter for 2026, but there is little doubt that the organization would love to avoid a similar situation next year, and selecting Moore would accomplish that goal.

Arizona has a similarly dire quarterback situation led by Jacoby Brissett, so it comes as little surprise that Reid has the Cardinals taking Texas quarterback Arch Manning at No. 2 overall.

While the nephew of legendary NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning didn't dominate college football in his first season as a starter in 2025 like many expected, he acquitted himself well and has something to build upon in 2026.

Manning completed 61.4 percent of his passing attempts for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven picks, while also rushing for 399 yards and 10 scores last season.

With a year of starting experience under his belt and tons of offensive weaponry around him, everything is lining up for Manning to turn in a huge 2026 campaign ahead of the 2027 draft.

Rounding out the top three picks and the "Big Three" quarterbacks in Reid's mock is Notre Dame's CJ Carr.

As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Carr was highly impressive, completing 66.6 percent of his passes for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions.

It has been far too long since the Jets had a true franchise quarterback, and while they have a solid stopgap in Geno Smith for 2026, Carr could finally be the leader and face of the franchise that they have been searching for over the past several years.

As for the Dolphins, trading down from No. 1 to No. 4 in Reid's mock still lands them arguably the best overall player in the draft in Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.

If the Dolphins trade down, it likely means that quarterback Malik Willis had a solid 2026 season, and getting him a weapon like Smith would only serve to elevate his play even more.
