Arsenal vs. Manchester United: Arsene Wenger Must Be Fired Following Big Defeat
Arsene Wenger must be fired as manager of Arsenal FC after he cost his club a positive result versus Manchester United on Sunday when he took off teenage sensation Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and replaced him with Andrey Arshavin.
The 19-year-old forward was giving the United defense trouble all match with his pace and dangerous runs toward goal. He assisted on the Gunners' only goal by Robin van Persie and was a major threat the whole match.
Wenger, for some inexplicable reason, took off Oxlade-Chamberlain at the 74th minute mark in a decision that the youngster was justifiably not happy with. What made his poor substitution even worse was Wenger's choice on who to replace the youngster with.

Arshavin came onto the pitch and was rightly greeted with boos from the supporters at the Emirates. Arshavin has been horrible this season and was unable to give the club the same energy and attacking quality that Oxlade-Chameberlain did.
The Red Devils scored the winning goal in the 81st minute, as winger Antonio Valencia took the ball into the box and was able to find striker Danny Welbeck, who emphatically sent the ball to the back of the Arsenal net.
Valencia was being defended in the box by Arshavin, who did a poor job of defending the United winger. Arshavin was just dreadful during his short time on the pitch.
The substitution cost the Gunners two or even three points on Sunday, but the consequences could be much more severe than that.
Arsenal are now five points behind Chelsea for fourth place in the league table and the final Champions League qualification spot. The club has never finished outside the top four in Wenger's tenure as manager, but Arsenal could easily miss Champions League football for next season if their poor play continues.
If they fail to qualify for Europe's best competition, the Gunners will suffer massively financially and in the transfer market. No star player will want to come to Arsenal during the summer transfer window if the club won't be playing in the Champions League next season. Furthermore, current stars like Van Persie might leave the club if there is no European football.
Arsenal hadn't lost three consecutive Premier League matches since the spring of 2007, but now they have hit another low that the club might not be able to climb out of.
Wenger no longer has the capability to lead the club into a positive future. His decision-making during matches, his inability to keep stars such as Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy and his to unwillingness to spend in transfer windows has cost the Gunners big time.
Wenger is one of the greatest managers ever, but it's time for his storied Arsenal career to end.
Arsenal needs a new manager.
