2012 NFL Mock Draft: Immediate Impact Players in Full 1st Round Mock

Richard LangfordDec 12, 2011

The following players are going to make a big impact as rookies in the NFL.

These players are going to the right team in the 2012 NFL Draft, and they have a skill set that will allow them to make an impact from Week 1:

2. St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon, WR (Oklahoma State)

The Rams need playmakers for young QB Sam Bradford. Justin Blackmon is a perfect fit, and he will make an immediate impact.

Blackmon is just 6'1". However, he plays much taller. He has good leaping ability, but his best asset is the ability to judge the ball while it is in flight.

The Oklahoma State WR is an elite-level talent in terms of going up and getting the ball at its highest point. This allows Blackmon to be a big-time downfield target.

He will make plenty of highlight-reel catches and big plays in his rookie season.

4. Cleveland Browns: Trent Richardson, RB (Alabama)

Peyton Hillis is probably not going to return to the Browns next year.

Trent Richardson will be able to step right in and fill his void.

Richardson will be an elite RB from his first day. He is an extremely polished back who can run, catch and block. This will allow the Browns to leave him on the field in any situation.

This talented back has the body to shoulder a big workload, and that is exactly what he will get.

Richardson will not disappoint, and he will reward the Browns with a Pro Bowl season.

15. San Diego Chargers: Vontaze Burfict, LB (Arizona State)

The Chargers need to solidify their rush-defense. They added to the defensive line in last year's draft, and this year they will go for the second level.

Burfict is a supremely talented defender. He can stuff the run, defend the pass and he is also good for the occasional blitz.

Burfict has a nose for the ball. He will help the Chargers fill run-gaps and create some turnovers, and he will also be a big boost for this defense from Week 1.
