Scott Hall Video: Watch Downfall of Former WWE and WCW Star on ESPN E:60
In the mid-to-late 1990s, Scott Hall was one of professional wrestling's biggest stars.
He was a popular Intercontinental Champion as Razor Ramon in WWE and a founding member of the revolutionary nWo stable in WCW while wrestling under his real name.
Flash forward to today, however, and Hall is a broken man who is knocking on death's door due to his addictions to drugs and alcohol. Hall's rise and fall was chronicled on ESPN's E:60 series last night in an 18-minute documentary.

ESPN did a fantastic job of showing the events in his life that may have led to the person he has become today. This included Hall shooting and killing a person who pulled a gun on him in an altercation outside a strip club where he tended bar in 1983.
It also showed his progression from the AWA to WWE to WCW and finally to the independent scene, where he has been taking bookings periodically since 2002.
Hall admitted to taking steroids during his career as well as abusing drugs and alcohol heavily as a means of keeping up with the wrestling lifestyle.
This all came to a head in what is probably the most memorable scene of the documentary, when Hall arrives at an independent show in Fall River, Mass. Hall had suffered a seizure just days before and was clearly under the influence of either his prescription medication, other drugs, alcohol or perhaps all of that combined.
He could hardly make it through the curtain and had to be helped to the ring. Hall proceeded to go through with the appearance, but he was clearly out of it and stumbled or fell to the canvas on numerous occasions.
As with any good story, though, the seeds of redemption were planted near the end. Hall has rebuilt his relationship with his son Cody and is now training him to become a professional wrestler.
He even appeared at an event as Cody's manager and looked to be in far better condition than he was in Massachusetts.
Hall was level-headed and honest during the video and offered a glimpse at how down-to-earth he can be when free of the clutches of drugs and alcohol. Hall said that there must be reason why he is still alive, since he has been close to death so many times.
Perhaps his purpose is to train his son and allow him to carry on his legacy. Wrestling fans can only hope that such a notion is enough to keep Hall on the straight and narrow on the road to redemption.
