CM Punk, Triple H, Vengeance 2011 and Today's Top WWE News
With another wild week of wrestling behind us and only a few more months until WrestleMania, the convoluted storylines of the WWE are getting even worse.
While WWE struggles to get out of first gear, TNA is failing to capitalize on their biggest competitor's struggles by not pushing their homegrown stars to the top.
No matter which company you support, or if you’re just a wrestling fan in general, sit back and enjoy the wild ride that is the brain in my head. For more WWE talk, check out Ring Rust Radio for all of the hot topics you just can’t miss.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
1. TNA Bound for Glory
While many non-fans of TNA will criticize Bound for Glory as the No. 1 story, that’s just because they are jaded. TNA put on the second best PPV of the 2011 calendar year behind WWE’s Money in the Bank.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Can TNA build on the BFG momentum?
Our Take: While the ending of having Robert Roode lose to Kurt Angle hurt the overall reaction to the show, that match, as well as almost every match through the entire show, made the show not only the best TNA may have ever put on, but better than WrestleMania 27.
Hype Meter: 10 out of 10
If you missed it, I just said that TNA’s Bound for Glory was better than WrestleMania 27, and besides the Money in the Bank PPV from earlier this year, there is nothing WWE has done that can compete with the BFG PPV.

2. CM Punk and Triple H Tag Team
While it is odd to see Triple H and CM Punk on the same team, we better get used to it because Vengeance will feature a match between the former COO and the man he went to battle against just a few weeks ago.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Can the two work together against Miz and R-Truth?
Our Take: It was just a few weeks ago that Triple H beat the hell out of CM Punk in one of the best matches in a long time, but now the WWE wants us to believe that both men have let bygones be bygones and will work in harmony at Vengeance.
Hype Meter: 9 out of 10
The Miz and R-Truth have become two of the best heels in the WWE right now, and the matchup against Triple H and CM Punk could be one of the better verbal sparring matches the company could ask for. This also could be the birth of heel Triple H and the reformation of the nWo.

3. Brock Lesnar Back to WWE?
The WWE had one of the most promising stars in the history of the wrestling business with Brock Lesnar, but his lack of interest in the sport caused him to leave for bigger, brighter opportunities outside the WWE universe. Now he may be coming back.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Does the video game contract mean Lesnar is coming back?
Our Take: In short, no. There is no way that the UFC, who lives for the PPVs that Lesnar is on because of the huge buy rate, would ever let Lesnar return to the WWE and risk injuring himself in a match that means nothing for Dana White.
Hype Meter: 8 out of 10
While Dana White and the UFC have come out and said that Lesnar will never wrestle, they have gone on record as allowing him to work with the WWE on the game, and that relationship could spawn a relationship between UFC and WWE in the long run.

4. John Cena and Alberto Del Rio’s Last Man Standing Match
With John Cena slated to feud with The Rock sooner rather than later, the idea of him in another championship match has non-Cena fans scared about a fourth title run this year. Cena is already a crowd favorite, and another title run just wouldn’t make sense.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Will Alberto Del Rio retain the WWE Title?
Our Take: While I believe that Del Rio will win the match, there is no way the WWE will allow him to retain the belt without having it appear to be a dirty victory. If the WWE knew what was good for them, they would let ADR win the match clean.
Hype Meter: 6 out of 10
As much as I love John Cena, Alberto Del Rio has become hopelessly boring to me and if the WWE is going to get him over with the crowd, at least do it in the right manner. No better way to become a star than by beating the biggest star in the business.

5. Hulk Hogan Slams His Own Company
Nothing says best intentions at heart better than crushing the company you work for and the decisions they are making. That is exactly what Hulk Hogan did on his media tour around the world this week in preparation for TNA’s Bound for Glory.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Why Hulkster? Why?
Our Take: My firm belief is that Hulk Hogan has lost touch with reality and has no idea what the difference between promos and real life is anymore. This was a worked move, but the fact that he doesn’t tell anyone he is going to do it makes people look bad.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 10
The people who watched Hulk Hogan on this media tour before Bound for Glory don’t know about the intricacies of wrestling, and they didn’t understand that what Hulkster was saying was a work, and apparently, neither did AJ Styles, who was extremely offended.

6. Tomko Goes Crazy
If you don’t remember Tyson Tomko from his time in the WWE or TNA, he was the giant bald man covered with tribal tattoos. While his career was boring, his recent extracurricular activities of robbery and getting arrested for injecting drugs in a bathroom are very interesting to the police.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Where did it go so wrong for Tomko?
Our Take: After robbing a CVS of the Oxycodones they had in their safe at the pharmacy, the former wrestler was caught shooting up in the bathroom of a Chili’s restaurant. While many wrestlers have faced addiction to pain killers, this is just another example of one that let their addiction get out of control.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 10
This story is extremely sad, but the best place for a drug addict to be is at rock bottom, and this appears to be where Tomko is right now. The wrestler needs to get himself some help, and maybe seeing the error of his ways on a national stage will be the antidote for his ailment.

7. WWE Suspends Heath Slater
The one-man rock band, Heath Slater needs to head-bang his way to a counseling center himself, because he was suspended by the WWE for 30 in response to a failure of the WWE wellness policy. That means steroids or drug use was involved, and he has to get clean to retain his job.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: What’s with the rash of suspensions?
Our Take: It’s hard to tell if WWE is getting more strict with their policies or if the wrestlers are getting more brash, but this is the fourth wrestler in the last three months that has been suspended.
Hype Meter: -10 out of 10
While no one honestly cares about whether or not Heath Slater is suspended, this may be a sign of the times with younger, smaller wrestlers trying to cut corners to earn their way to the top instead of putting in the work to earn their place.
