WWE Vengeance 2011: Why The Miz and R-Truth Must Beat Triple H and CM Punk
Despite the fact that WWE's upcoming Vengeance pay-per-view has yet to be built up properly, there is reason to be excited.
The title matches pitting Alberto Del Rio and John Cena, and Mark Henry and Big Show against each other aren't likely to be anything special, but The Miz and R-Truth against Triple H and CM Punk has potential.
New RAW interim general manager John Laurinaitis reinstated Miz and Truth on Monday night and announced that they would face the unlikely tandem of Triple H and Punk at Vengeance. Just last month, Triple H and Punk wrestled at Night of Champions and were mortal enemies.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The idea that they will have to make fast friends in order to battle against Laurinaitis and his perceived lackeys Miz and Truth should make for an interesting feud and match. In order for this angle to succeed, however, I think that a win is essential for Miz and Truth at Vengeance.
Triple H and Punk will be decided favorites entering the match because of their championship pedigrees, so something has to give. While Laurinaitis is currently playing the role of company man, it is very obvious that he was one of the driving forces in getting Triple H removed from power.
It is also obvious that he is in cahoots with The Miz and R-Truth. Not only did he reinstate them, but he aided them when they attacked Triple H and CM Punk during their match at Night of Champions, albeit subtly.
All of the viewers clearly know that Laurinaitis has it out for Triple H and CM Punk, but I expect him to make it official at Vengeance. I'm not exactly sure how Laurinaitis will screw over the COO and Straight Edge Savior, but there will definitely be some funny business.
Perhaps Kevin Nash will finally make his return after being hit with a sledgehammer by Triple H at Night of Champions. He does have a beef with both men after all, as Triple H fired him and Punk ridiculed him for weeks on end after Nash cost Punk the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
If Nash does interfere, then it would finally begin the formation of a Corporation-esque heel group headed by Laurinaitis. This group would feud primarily with Triple H and Punk and perhaps some of the company's other top faces in time.
For this to work, though, Triple H and Punk simply can't draw first blood. The pending heel faction needs a big win to establish credibility and they don't come much bigger than beating a team that comprises a legend like Triple H and one of wrestling's hottest stars in CM Punk.
This will set the wheels in motion for a Laurinaitis-led team to meet a Triple H-led team at Survivor Series. The stipulation will likely be something to the effect of if Triple H loses then he steps down as COO, but if Laurinaitis loses, then he is fired.
That angle wouldn't be much fun if Triple H and Punk get the upper hand early, though. The reason why the Vince McMahon vs. Steve Austin feud was so successful in the Attitude Era was because Austin always faced seemingly unbeatable odds.
The same needs to happen in this feud, and it starts with Miz and Truth winning with interference at Vengeance.
