Matt Cardona Posts Photo from Hospital After Torn Triceps Injury During WWE Main Event Match
Two days after confirming he tore his triceps during a match on Friday night, WWE superstar Matt Cardona was in the hospital.
Cardona posted a picture on social media of himself in a hospital bed.
This comes on the heels of Cardona posting an image of his left arm with a wrap on it, announcing he suffered an injury during a match against Kit Wilson taped for Main Event.
The timeline for Cardona to return depends on the severity of the injury. It can take up to one year to get back to full range of motion if surgery is required, though some wrestlers have returned much faster.
Back in 2013, John Cena was out for only two months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn triceps following his SummerSlam match with Daniel Bryan.
Cardona made a few appearances on WWE television while working for TNA last year, but he officially returned to the promotion in January after signing a contract in January.
The former Intercontinental champion has been working on the SmackDown brand with his wife and recently-crowned WWE women's champion Chelsea Green.
