Cowboys DE Damontre Moore Reportedly Suspended for Substance Abuse Violation
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Friday that Dallas Cowboys defensive end Damontre Moore was suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
The Cowboys signed Moore this offseason after he spent part of the 2016 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks.
The New York Giants selected Moore in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft out of Texas A&M, but he was released in the midst of his third season with the team due to a reported argument with then-teammate Cullen Jenkins over headphones.

Moore played three games for the Miami Dolphins late in the 2015 season, signed with the Oakland Raiders during the offseason and was released again before signing with the Seahawks.
Last season, Moore appeared in four games and registered seven tackles with 0.5 sacks.
His best season came in 2014 when he racked up 5.5 sacks for the Giants, and he has a career total of 10.0 sacks in 49 games.
Moore is the third Cowboys defensive end facing a suspension, as David Irving is suspended four games for performance-enhancing drug use, and Randy Gregory is suspended for the entire season due to violating the substance-abuse policy, per Bob Sturm of the Dallas Morning News.
Tyrone Crawford and Demarcus Lawrence remain likely to start for the Cowboys in 2017 with rookie first-round pick Taco Charlton, Benson Mayowa and Charles Tapper serving as the top depth options.
