Barcelona Transfer News: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Munir El Haddadi Rumours
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could still leave Borussia Dortmund for Barcelona, despite the Bundesliga giants declaring the striker will remain with them.
According to Germany football specialist Lee Price (h/t Jack Wilson of the Daily Express), the Blaugrana are open to buying the Gabonese attacker if Neymar departs, but BVB now wish to keep the player.

Controversy in Champions League Semi

Projecting Spain's World Cup Squad 🇪🇸
"Dortmund today came out with a 'we won't sell' statement - but that's just their opening negotiation stance. Aubameyang was as good as gone to China until the recent rule change - and the German side have offered him to Chelsea. While the Blues have dithered - unsure on the future of wantaway Diego Costa - I've heard Barca are ready to swoop if Neymar goes."
Per BBC Sport, Dortmund director Michael Zorc declared Aubameyang would remain with his side after recent speculation.
"We have decided that Auba will stay with Borussia Dortmund," said Zorc. "The transfer window is closed as far as he is concerned."
Aubameyang has developed into one of Europe's most consistent talents, and his goal ratio has continued to expand each year. He scored 31 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances last term, including seven in nine UEFA Champions League matches, according to WhoScored.com.

In other Barca news, Munir El Haddadi has been the subject of an approach from Roma, but the Camp Nou giants have rejected the offer.
According to Ignasi Oliva Gispert of Goal, the Italian club wanted Munir on a one-year loan with an option to buy at the end of the contract. Barca are not motivated by the deal, but Alaves and Real Sociedad are expected to declare additional interest in the player.
The 21-year-old spent last season at Valencia on loan, but the side struggled in mid-table mediocrity. Munir scored six and assisted three times in La Liga last term, per WhoScored, but he achieved plenty of playing time.
Here he is in action:

Munir was expected to develop into a superstar, but his overall growth on the pitch has stalled.
There is plenty of time for him to evolve as a top-class attacker, but that will not happen as a substitute at Barca.
The player needs another season at a strong side where he will play plenty of matches, and only then can he start to fulfil his potential as a quality forward.
Aubameyang would fit Barca's fluid style, but with new coach Ernesto Valverde about to take the reins, it is unknown what formation the team will play.
The Gabon international would score plenty of goals in Catalonia, and a dream partnership with Lionel Messi would have fans at the Camp Nou excited.
