DDP in the Hall of Fame and Top WWE News from Week of February 25
Fastlane is the next pay-per-view on the calendar, but WWE is already working hard to put together the card for WrestleMania 33 on April 2.
As usual, there was just as much going on outside the ring as there was inside. Let's take a look at some of the biggest stories from the past week.

Following Monday's episode of Raw, scenes were filmed for the upcoming movie about Paige's family, Fighting with My Family.
Paige will be played by Florence Pugh, but some of her scenes will involve Tessa Blanchard filling in as her stunt double.
The scenes being filmed were a recreation of the night Paige debuted on the main roster and won the Divas Championship from AJ Lee.
Lee will be played by Thea Trinidad, who is a well-known talent on the indy scene and widely considered one of the best female performers not signed to a WWE contract. Lee posted the following on Twitter:
The Rock Calls CM Punk from Inside WWE Ring
Before the scenes mentioned above were filmed, The Rock made a special appearance before the live crowd.
The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions is producing the film. He has been involved since the start of the project, having been inspired to make the movie after seeing a documentary about Paige's family.
While he was in the ring, The Brahma Bull made a call to CM Punk since it was his wife Trinidad would be playing, but The Straight Edge Superstar didn't answer because he was walking his dog.
Despite being gone since June 2014, many WWE fans still have special places in their hearts for Punk, especially those in Chicago.
Does AJ Styles Think Earth Is Flat?
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving recently made headlines when he revealed to the world that he believes Earth is flat and that we have been lied to for centuries during an interview on the Road Trippin' With RJ and Channing podcast.
Just about everyone has an opinion on his controversial statements, including famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who told TMZ that Irving should stick to the basketball court and leave the science to the professionals.
WWE has joined the discussion after an exchange between Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles on Tuesday's episode of Talking Smack.
Bryan claimed Styles also believes Earth is flat. The Phenomenal One said, "I do not think the Earth is flat. I just think there's some stuff about it."
Whether this was WWE intentionally trying to generate some press or Bryan bringing it up on his own is unclear, but it's funny to see a debate we thought was solved hundreds of years ago brought back into the spotlight.
Austin Aries to Make 205 Live Debut
Austin Aries has been one of the bright spots on 205 Live with his outstanding work as a heel commentator, but it looks like his run at the desk alongside Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves is coming to an end.
Wednesday's episode saw Aries introduce his own video package that hyped his upcoming debut. WWE didn't reveal a date for his first match on the main roster, which allows for some fun possibilities.
A good way to bring him into the fold would be to have him attack someone while we think he is still working as a commentator. The surprise would get a good pop from the crowd, and it would allow him to generate some heel heat right away.
Aries was looking to become the NXT champion before an injury took him out of the hunt, so it will be interesting to see if he works any matches for the developmental brand while simultaneously appearing on Raw and 205 Live.
Either way, fans should be excited to see his debut. He is someone who could help push the cruiserweight division to the next level, especially if he is put right into the title picture.
DDP Being Inducted into WWE Hall of Fame
WWE continues to deliver one great Hall of Fame inductee for this year's class after another, and one more legend was added to the list Monday night.
Diamond Dallas Page will join Kurt Angle, Teddy Long and The Rock 'n' Roll Express at this year's ceremony.
The former WCW champion is deserving of this honor for both his wrestling inside the ring and his work helping to rehabilitate former Superstars Scott Hall and Jake Roberts.
"How can someone make U eat ur own words, just ask DDP!! When Dallas first told Jimmy and I he wanted to wrestle, we fell over laughing!!!
— Michael PS Hayes (@MichaelPSHayes1) February 24, 2017"
DDP was a late bloomer in the wrestling world. As a 35-year-old rookie in 1991, he had an uphill battle to succeed in what was viewed as a young man's game.
His work ethic and vibrant personality endeared him to fans and earned him three WCW Championships and nine other singles and tag titles.
As one of the few people who didn't join the NWO during the stable's ascension, DDP was allowed to forge his own legacy instead of blending into the background like so many who wore the black and white.
