NFL Week 8 Odds: New England Patriots and Tom Brady Betting Trends, Props
The New England Patriots (6-0) are the first of five unbeaten teams to play in Week 8 of the NFL season when they host the Miami Dolphins (3-3) in a key AFC East matchup on Thursday night.
The latest NFL betting odds at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark have the Patriots as consensus eight-point favorites against the Dolphins, who have given them trouble recently.
Miami has actually won two of the past three meetings both straight up and against the spread, including last year’s season opener 33-20 as a 3.5-point home underdog.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New England started a disappointing 2-2 last year before reeling off 10 wins in 11 games and going 8-3 against the spread during that stretch. The Patriots were still able to secure home-field advantage and used it to get to the Super Bowl, something they are hoping to do again this year.
Comparisons are already being made to the 2007 team that completed a perfect 16-0 regular season only to lose to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.
They figure to be favored in every game the rest of this year, with their toughest tests coming in Week 10 against the New York Giants and in Week 12 versus the Denver Broncos, as Tom Brady faces both Eli and Peyton Manning on the road.
New England is 5-1 SU and ATS in the past six meetings with the Broncos, according to the Odds Shark NFL database, including 3-1 since Manning signed with them. But the Patriots have lost three in a row to the Giants and failed to cover each of the last four head-to-head matchups along with six of the previous seven.
Brady has also emerged as the favorite to win NFL MVP for the third time in his career at EVEN money over Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is 2-1 to take home the honor for the second time in as many years and third time overall.
However, the previous two times Brady won the award, New England failed to win the Super Bowl, so you can bet he would much rather have a fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy instead. In fact, the last MVP to win the Super Bowl was Kurt Warner back in 1999.
