Latest on Brown's Practice Status Ahead of Week 6

The Patriots announced Brown was unable to practice the past two days despite being a limited participant Wednesday.
Brown Has History of Foot Injuries
Brown, who signed with the Patriots in July after playing 14 games with the Oakland Raiders in 2014, ended last season on the injured reserve list because of a foot problem. The veteran defensive back has slowly worked his way up New England's depth chart, starting two of the three games he has played.
New England has been cautious with Brown, who is coming off surgery on his foot in the offseason, as he didn't play in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 30-year-old did play most of the defensive snaps in the team's Week 5 win against the Dallas Cowboys.
The good news is that New England's new-look secondary has performed well this season. Logan Ryan and Duron Harmon are tied for the team lead with two interceptions, while Malcolm Butler has taken to an expanded role following his Super Bowl heroics.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has a knack for finding and plugging in talent, so there's no doubt his team will survive a prolonged absence by Brown. It just puts more pressure on New England's depth.
