WWE SmackDown Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from July 30
The hype for SummerSlam on August 23 is in full force and Thursday night, WWE continued to put the focus on the undercard for the show.
Cesaro's ongoing issues with Kevin Owens dominated the show while WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins put over his budding rivalry with John Cena. The tag team championship rivalry intensified, with the Lucha Dragons scoring another big victory, and the rivalry between Neville and Stardust continued.
In many ways, Thursday's show was a placeholder of sorts, a show that existed solely because WWE is expected to present the broadcast every week.

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
But that did not deter the talent from working hard or WWE Creative telling a few quality stories over the two-hour run time.
Which Superstars benefited most and who is in need of a boost as the build to the Biggest Party of the Summer continues?
Winner: Cesaro
SmackDown has been Cesaro's playground in recent weeks and, on the blue brand, WWE Creative has treated him as a headliner. That trend continued Thursday as the Swiss Superstar was all over the show, kicking off the in-ring portion of the broadcast with a match against Seth Rollins, then ending the broadcast with a victory in a tag team match in which he teamed with Dean Ambrose to defeat the WWE World Heavyweight champion and Kevin Owens.
No Superstar has enjoyed a career renaissance this summer more than Cesaro, who consistently brings the goods between the ropes and more than deserves the opportunity he is currently enjoying.
The feud between he and Owens could use a bit more definition but for now, it is progressing nicely and should result in a match that steals the show at SummerSlam.
Winners: Lucha Dragons
After falling by the wayside over the last month, Kalisto and Sin Cara have surged this week, scoring two big victories and setting themselves up for a future tag team championship match.
A flashy and dynamic team, the duo has the move set to pop the crowd and keep them interested, but has struggled to make the connection complete, thanks to their uneven booking and a decided lack of character development.
With all signs pointing toward some multi-team match for the gold at SummerSlam, it will be imperative for WWE to do more than just give teams like the Lucha Dragons wins to set them up for the bout. Providing fans with a reason to care about the teams will only benefit the contest, and division, in the long run.
For now, though, the Lucha Dragons are picking up momentum and that is a great way to reignite interest in the duo.
Loser: Rusev
Not only has the angle with Lana completely killed the momentum built by Rusev over the last year, Thursday's match with Jack Swagger hurt his credibility.
Sure, there is history between the two but to suggest for a second that the Bulgarian Brute should struggle at all against a guy deemed so unimportant that he has not regularly appeared on television in months is ridiculous.
To top it all off, WWE Creative attempted to give Swagger some heat back by having him apply the Patriot Lock to Rusev.
So a guy once so incredibly dominant that he did not lose a match for an entire year, suddenly looks like a fool and is on the receiving end of booking designed to win back heat for Jack freaking Swagger?
This was further proof that WWE Creative has dropped the ball in a big way in regards to the former United States champion.
