After Russell Westbrook's Retirement, Only 2 Active NBA Players from 2008 Draft Remain

The 2008 NBA draft produced seven All-Stars and two league MVPs, but it doesn't have much representation remaining on active rosters in the NBA.

After Russell Westbrook announced his retirement Wednesday with a video narrated by Michael B. Jordan, DeAndre Jordan and Brook Lopez remain the only players from the class who are currently on a roster.

Jordan is on the New Orleans Pelicans, while Lopez is on the Los Angeles Clippers.

While they are two of the seven All-Stars from the class alongside Kevin Love, Roy Hibbert and Goran Dragić, the headliners remain the point guards of Westbrook and Derrick Rose. They each won NBA MVPs during their careers, although Westbrook remained healthier and enjoyed a longer peak.

It is now up to Jordan and Lopez to keep representing the class unless Love eventually joins them and signs somewhere for the upcoming season.
