WWE SummerSlam 2015: Stars Who Will Break Out at PPV Event
SummerSlam has traditionally been an event where some of the company's biggest-ever names broke out and started their iconic careers.
Be it The Ultimate Warrior defeating Honky Tony Man in 1988, Bret Hart's victory against Mr. Perfect in 1991 or Seth Rollins' win against Dean Ambrose last year, the annals of history have provided plenty of defining matches at SummerSlam.
And while there may not be an iconic breakout like those names this year, there's still the potential for some stars who've suffered lately to truly set themselves up for a big run with WWE going into the latter part of the year. Here are three stars who should, with the right booking and the right performance, break out at SummerSlam.

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
Cesaro
In truth, Cesaro has technically broken out a few times in his WWE career before now. There was WrestleMania XXX, and arguably the night after WrestleMania too, but this could be another example of his showing the world exactly what he's capable of.
All the signs point toward Cesaro going at it with Kevin Owens at SummerSlam—and although that match won't be for the United States Championship, it will still be one of the standout contests of the night.
Owens will bring the very best out of Cesaro if the two are allowed significant TV time heading toward SummerSlam, and when the event itself rolls around, Cesaro's now-infamous performances inside the ring will come to the fore.
You only have to look back over his recent efforts—his match against John Cena on Raw will get all the plaudits of course, but he's even had some decent bouts with Owens himself prior to their feud really getting going.
The Swiss Superman manages to make good of every situation he's thrown into—be it The Real Americans, his partnership with Tyson Kidd or this solo run, Cesaro has proved himself over and over again. He now needs the break, and a rowdy SummerSlam crowd could provide it.
He still holds an affection among many WWE fans following not only his in-ring efforts but the way he was handled following WrestleMania XXX. There will always be a sense of injustice that Cesaro never got the full push he deserved—but if he backs up his recent performances on TV at one of the biggest shows of the year, WWE might just have to admit that Cesaro is destined for great things over the coming months.
Roman Reigns
Much like Cesaro, Roman Reigns has probably "broken out" a couple of times before now.
But since his stock took a real hit when he won the Royal Rumble back in January, it's been a slow road back to redemption for Reigns.
However, with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship scene looking like it might have an opening in the coming weeks, SummerSlam could be one of the most pivotal nights of Reigns' career.
After losing to Bray Wyatt controversially at Battleground, Reigns has the chance to get that win back on one of the biggest shows of the year—and whether it's with Dean Ambrose, Sting or someone else, a win for Reigns could be huge.
The way he wins will be equally important—as mentioned with Cesaro's chances of breaking out, they'll both be competing in front of a hostile and loud crowd at the Barclays Center. Should Reigns be able to put in a strong performance inside the ring to silence the inevitable boos, he will go some way toward winning fans over.
And if all goes to plan in terms of result, fan reaction and performance, the door to Seth Rollins and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship might be slightly more ajar following SummerSlam.
