WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from July 15
Samoa Joe's debut in World Wrestling Entertainment was years in the making. Perhaps that is why his status as the biggest loser from Wednesday night's episode of NXT is so troubling.
The former Ring of Honor and TNA world heavyweight champion was one of the hottest stars in the industry throughout the 2000s, his in-ring ability and badass attitude captivating fans across the country. When his contract with the latter company ran out last year and Joe became a free agent, many expected him to jump to WWE for the first time in his career.
And he did, arriving in NXT at Takeover: Rival.

Real SNME Winners & Losers 📊

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
Unfortunately, he has yet to make an impact. He has appeared slow at times and unmotivated at others, and creative has not helped matters. Another meaningless win in a squash match Wednesday night, coupled with his feud with Kevin Owens suddenly evaporating, has made for a somewhat directionless Superstar thus far.
What awaits Joe heading into the next Takeover special, live from Brooklyn, remains to be seen. For his sake, it better be a breakout performance in a show-stealing match; otherwise, fans who were not familiar with his work before will start questioning what the big deal is about the Samoan Submission Machine.
While Joe's night was far from spectacular, two of the top female performers in the world again stole the show in a tremendous main event, and a brand new tag team demonstrated skills that could put them in the title hunt by year's end.
These are the biggest winners and losers from the July 15 episode of NXT.

Winners: Charlotte and Sasha Banks
Not only did Charlotte and Sasha Banks make their debuts on Raw on Monday night, but they also wrestled another stellar 13-minute match that headlined this week's broadcast of NXT.
The greatest rivalries typically tout the most extraordinary chemistry, and that is the case with Charlotte and Sasha. They understand sequencing and psychology, as evidenced by their most recent match. By retaining the title, Banks continues her impressive reign as champion, setting up what should be a huge defense in Brooklyn this August.
Banks and Charlotte deserved the main event spot, and they did not disappoint. Now, they can move onward and upward, enjoying the fruits of their labor every Monday and Thursday night on WWE television.

Winners: Chad Gable and Jason Jordan
Chad Gable and Jason Jordan may have picked up the victory in their first televised match as tag team partners, but they have been partnering at live events across Florida for months, which explains why they looked as smooth as they did Wednesday night.
Their victory over Elias Samson and Steve Cutler was fairly dominant and gave fans a taste of what they can expect from the duo.
Similar to Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas' "World's Greatest Tag Team" in that they are former amateur wrestlers, the team has potential to do great things and bring an edge of seriousness to the tag team division in NXT. Their win Wednesday night was a step in the right direction.
Loser: Sami Zayn
Zayn's status as a loser has nothing to do with the quality of his promo but rather the announcement that he will not be back until 2016.
One of the most beloved stars in NXT history, the consummate underdog's shoulder injury has kept him sidelined during what should be the hottest period of his career. It has also halted his rivalry with Owens, a feud he touched upon during his address Wednesday.
But how can Zayn expect to get back at Owens when he is likely to return to NXT rather than the main roster, where Owens will be racking up wins and championships?
It was a disappointing night for anyone expecting to see the former NXT champion back in the ring anytime soon.
