Seth Rollins, R-Truth and Real Winners and Losers of WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Card

Kevin BergeJun 7, 2025

From the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, WWE delivered another action-packed Money in the Bank, crowning two potential future world champions in wild ladder matches.

Naomi picked up the win in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match after sending Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan careening head-first onto a propped ladder.

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against AAA's Octagón Jr.

Becky Lynch managed to steal the Women's Intercontinental Championship from Lyra Valkyria by grabbing her tights, forcing The Valkyria to raise her hand in "respect".

Seth Rollins took advantage of a messy drama in the men's Money in the Bank complete with Jacob Fatu turning on Solo Sikoa in order to win his second briefcase.

John Cena and Logan Paul almost stole another win, but R-Truth made his shock return to help Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso win the main event.

The following are the real winners and losers from this massive night of action.

Loser: Rhea Ripley and Alexa Bliss

1 of 9

While the Money in the Bank ladder match was a great showcase for new stars like Giulia, Roxanne Perez and Stephanie Vaquer, it was also an opportunity for the veterans.

Rhea Ripley and Alexa Bliss have lacked direction for a little while and called their shot to win Money in the Bank. Neither could pull it off and now have to earn their way back into the world title picture.

Mami is especially running out of chances to go after the Women's World Championship since Iyo Sky has beaten her multiple times.

The Goddess has yet to fully establish where she will land on the women's roster since her return. She mocked Charlotte Flair for weeks but is in the same place as The Queen now on SmackDown.

Both will be behind Naomi, who picked up the victory that should lead her back to a world championship.

Winner: Naomi

2 of 9

Naomi took a big risk with her recent heel turn on Jade Cargill. She is a two-time SmackDown women's champion who has not held that title since 2017.

She has spent most of her career as the fun-loving babyface, rarely treated as a top championship contender.

This heel run could either fully define her as a midcard star or make her a world champion for the first time in eight years.

The latter looks to be true after The Glow picked up the Money in the Bank briefcase and is likely to go after Tiffany Stratton sooner than later.

This can set the stage for her feuds with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to reach the top of SmackDown.

Naomi has every chance to position herself and her current rivals as the top names in the women's division going forward.

Winner: Octagón Jr.

3 of 9

While Octagón Jr. was never going to beat "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, this was a huge spotlight for the AAA star.

He picked up a solid win in the opener of Worlds Collide then became the first AAA star to compete on a WWE-exclusive PLE.

While it was not a long or heavily competitive match, it still will make sure WWE fans remember him as much as anyone in AAA.

Hopefully, WWE will continue to find ways to use stars from AAA in spots like this where they can show off their talent against memorable names.

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

4 of 9

While Lyra Valkyria suffered one of the toughest losses of her career, Money in the Bank was a great night for The Valkyrie.

This was her second great in-ring performance against Becky Lynch where the two showed just how great they can be without much flash needed.

Moreover, The Valkyrie showed once again that she could hang with arguably the best technical women's wrester in WWE history.

She now goes on the chase, hoping to get another shot at Becky Lynch, who will likely do everything in her power to avoid a rematch.

Valkyria can continue growing her popularity on the chase against The Man, making her undeniable for the rest of her career.

Winner: Jacob Fatu

5 of 9

The face turn of Jacob Fatu is complete, and a rocket is about to strapped to his back on SmackDown.

While he currently holds the United States Championship, he has not been allowed to fully compete with the top names in the business yet.

His feud with Solo Sikoa is going to play a big role in WWE over this summer, and once he has defeated the former Tribal Chief, it will take a top name to even slow him down.

It would not be surprising for Fatu to contend for a world title in 2026. In the meantime, he will be a dominant US champion contending with the whole Bloodline.

Loser: LA Knight

6 of 9

LA Knight has competed in the last three men's Money in the Bank ladder matches, and he has been close to winning every time.

This was the year where it felt possible he could finally win the big one and get his long-awaited world title reign.

Instead, he was pushed into the background for Seth Rollins' latest big push. While The Visionary is the hottest heel in the business right now, he also did not need this.

He talked his way into a World Heavyweight Championship match just one month ago and would have gotten another against Jey at any time.

The Million Dollar Megastar though is fighting an uphill battle to ever win the world championship, especially since John Cena remains a dominant WWE champion on SmackDown.

Things can still turn around, but at this point, Knight's chances are running out.

Winner: Seth Rollins

7 of 9

Seth Rollins is the second wrestler to ever win two Money in the Bank briefcases, setting the stage for him to start his next run at the top of the business with a cash-in.

The Visionary is betting on himself at present, hoping to show he can be the new top heel in the business.

The Heist of the Century is arguably the greatest cash-in of all time, so he has a tough act to follow.

If anyone can beat that mark though, it is Rollins. He has made clear that his vision for the future of the wrestling business continues to develop with him as the top champion.

Whatever comes next will likely set the stage for a future guided by The Visionary.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

8 of 9

Cody Rhodes has taken the fight to John Cena since The Last Real Champ turned heel at the expense of The American Nightmare.

At every turn though, Cena has had the upper hand on Rhodes. On this night, The American Nightmare got a PLE victory over The Last Real Champ.

This should earn Rhodes a rematch against Cena sooner than later, and that is all that The American Nightmare has needed.

Whether it happens at Night of Champions or SummerSlam, Rhodes' second match could be the moment where Cena's reign of terror is put to an end.

Winner: R-Truth

9 of 9

No one expected the news when R-Truth was released from his contract with WWE on June 1.

All signs pointed to a very legitimate release for a veteran that had been incredibly loyal and selfless in his role with WWE over the years.

It was especially a big surprise as he had just worked with John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event, seemingly playing a key role in one of WWE's top stories.

Whether this release was legitimate before a new contract was worked out with Truth or a worked storyline to sell a surprise, WWE managed to shock the world again on June 7 when Truth returned.

He beat down Cena and made sure that Cody Rhodes would not lose again to The Last Real Champ by dubious means.

Hopefully, this means Truth will sign a good deal with WWE and continue on for years to come as a veteran and ambassador of the company.

He could even get a huge story payoff with his continued involvement in Cena's heel run.
