WWE HOFer Ric Flair Announces Skin Cancer Diagnosis, Will Undergo Treatment Next Week
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair announced Friday that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Flair divulged the diagnosis to People.com's Julie Mazziotta and Elissa Rosen, telling them: "It's the second time in three years that I've been dealing with skin cancer. I will be undergoing treatment next week."
While Flair initially denied having skin cancer in a post on X, he decided to come forward with his diagnosis amid plenty of speculation, saying, "Appreciate the concerns!"

Flair, 76, has dealt with multiple health issues over the past several years, even aside from two bouts with skin cancer.
In 2017, Flair's family was told he had only a 20 percent chance to live due to health complications brought on by alcohol consumption. However, Flair had part of his bowel removed and a pacemaker implanted, and he survived.
Remarkably, Flair managed to compete in a retirement match in 2022, 11 years after what was his previous last match in 2011.
As part of an event entitled Jim Crockett Promotions Ric Flair's Last Match, Flair teamed with Andrade to beat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett in a tag team bout on July 31, 2022.
Nicknamed "The Nature Boy," Flair wrestled regularly from his debut in 1972 into the late 2000s.
He was best known for his success in WWE and WCW, which was previously known as Jim Crockett Promotions under the NWA banner. Flair held the record as a 16-time world champion, but John Cena broke it this year at WrestleMania 41.
Flair's most recent pro wrestling appearances came with AEW after signing with the company in 2023, but they have been few and far between. He did appear on Collision last month as part of a tribute to Pro Football Hall of Famer and former pro wrestler Steve "Mongo" McMichael.
