WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Match Card Predictions After Saturday Night's Main Event

Graham GSM MatthewsMay 25, 2025

With yet another installment of Saturday Night's Main Event in the books, it's officially safe to say WWE uses these shows as an opportunity to play it safe booking-wise while also delivering a night of enjoyable action.

None of the match outcomes were shocking in the slightest, though the surprise returns of Cody Rhodes and Bronson Reed were notable and successfully furthered storylines.

The rest of the event saw Jey Uso retain his World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul, Damian Priest settle his score with Drew McIntyre inside of a steel cage, and Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker steal a win over CM Punk and Sami Zayn in tag team action.

Additionally, fans were given a better idea of what to expect at Money in the Bank on June 7 as it emanates from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, including a massive main-event and a potential first-time-ever one-on-one encounter.

The fields for the men's and women's Money in the Bank Ladder matches are far from filled, but those too will become clearer in the coming days on Raw and SmackDown.

Coming out of the latest Saturday Night's Main Event, these are the complete card predictions for Money in the Bank 2025.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul

1 of 5

Amid recent rumblings of what the featured attraction for Money in the Bank would look like, the conclusion of Saturday Night's Main Event confirmed what fans believed it would be.

Following an interaction backstage earlier in the evening, John Cena attempted to cost Jey Uso the World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul, only for Cody Rhodes to return and thwart Cena's interference and allow Uso to retain.

Rhodes then challenged Cena and Paul to a tag team match against himself and Uso at Money in the Bank. Per PWInsider (h/t WrestleTalk), it was originally rumored to be a six-man tag team match with Travis Scott on Cena's squad and Jimmy Uso on the other, but it could change in the next two weeks.

Cena decimated R-Truth in a non-title affair within a matter of minutes at Saturday Night's Main Event, seemingly suggesting that their short-lived storyline is already over. This new direction may allow for Cena to set his sights on Uso's World Heavyweight Championship in time for SummerSlam.

There wasn't much time between Saturday Night's Main Event and Money in the Bank to build up a new challenger for him, so this was the safest route to ensure he made the Money in the Bank card. Rhodes being back should also be a big boost to WWE TV going forward.

Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

2 of 5

The men's Money in the Bank Ladder match has been a staple at the eponymous event since its inception 15 years ago and will once again be a big part of the upcoming installment.

Interestingly, WWE has taken its time in announcing the entrants for the men's matchup this year, even with the event coming up in less than two weeks. Only two spots have been filled as of this writing with Solo Sikoa and LA Knight both qualifying in recent weeks on SmackDown.

The blue brand's third qualifier is set for the May 30 episode with Andrade, Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu fighting for a spot. That Triple Threat is virtually guaranteed to be won by Fatu so he can continue teasing tension with Sikoa.

Raw qualifiers will kick off this Monday night, but it's unknown who will be involved in each of them. The simple fact that WWE has waited this long might indicate that some Superstars who were in action at Saturday Night's Main Event will advance, most notably Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker.

The final spot should go to Intercontinental champion Dominik Mysterio, who would excel in that environment and could be dark horse to win the whole thing.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch (Women's Intercontinental Championship)

3 of 5

Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch has quietly become one of WWE's strongest storylines—male or female—since it started on the post-WrestleMania Raw when Lynch betrayed Valkyria.

They proceeded to steal the show at Backlash when Valkyria shockingly bested The Man to retain her Women's Intercontinental Championship. Lynch left Valkyria lying afterward, leading to Valkyria exacting her revenge on the May 19 edition of Raw and preventing her from qualifying for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.

Valkyria hasn't been announced for a qualifier yet, but if she is, Lynch should return the favor as all roads should lead to them having a rematch at Money in the Bank with the gold up for grabs.

Neither Tiffany Stratton nor Iyo Sky have obvious opponents for the event, and with Zelina Vega just having defended her Women's United States Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event, it'd make the most sense for Valkyria to be the sole defending women's champ on June 7.

That could and should be where Lynch avenges her previous losses to Valkyria and takes the title to prolong their program into the summer, this time with Valkyria in chase mode.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

4 of 5

The aforementioned women's Money in the Bank Ladder match is a lot closer to being completed than the men's at the moment with four of the six spots filled as of May 25.

Roxanne Perez and Rhea Ripley punched their tickets to Money in the Bank by winning hard-fought Triple Threat qualifiers on the May 19 edition of Raw, while Alexa Bliss and Giulia won their respective qualifying matches in the last two weeks on SmackDown.

The final qualifier on the SmackDown side will be Naomi vs. Nia Jax vs. Jade Cargill. Naomi is a strong candidate to capture the opportunistic briefcase, so she should find a way to advance while simultaneously furthering her feud with Cargill.

For the final spot on Raw, no one woman stands out, but Liv Morgan could possibly be back in time to qualify. After all, she is a former Money in the Bank winner and Women's World champion, so she'd bring even more credibility and star power to the bout.

If not Morgan, it could just as easily be her WWE Women's Tag Team champion partner Raquel Rodriguez, Kiana James or Asuka if either of the latter two are ready to return.

CM Punk vs. Bronson Reed

5 of 5

CM Punk and Sami Zayn recruiting a third man to face the new trio of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank would be too simple. Jey Uso will be busy teaming with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns can't be convinced to team with Punk on two weeks' notice.

Thus, Zayn and Breakker should be added to the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match while Punk and Reed go one-on-one. It's worth nothing that when Reed returned at Saturday Night's Main Event, he specifically targeted Punk both during and after the match.

Punk could have been written off for the foreseeable future, but he is still featured on the event's promotional poster as of now. Instead, it'd be more appropriate for him to face off with Reed in what would be Reed's first bout back since Survivor Series last November.

Punk should work his way back up to Rollins eventually, beginning with Reed. That'd be a perfect addition to the Money in the Bank undercard and a chance for Reed to show what he can do against a high-profile opponent in Punk.

Perhaps that's where Reigns resurfaces and comes to Punk's aid to plant the seeds for them putting their differences aside in an effort to conquer their common enemies.
