Ranking Most Likely WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Ladder Match Winners

Graham GSM MatthewsMay 18, 2025

Money in the Bank season is always an exciting time in WWE, especially for fans who are ready to see certain stars elevated to the next level.

The men's and women's Ladder matches all but guarantee that the respective winners are next up for an opportunity at world title gold. Although the success rate for the men has varied since the introduction to the concept two decades ago, every Ms. Money in the Bank has managed to cash in the contract and capture a title in the last eight years.

As of this writing, only Alexa Bliss and Solo Sikoa have punched their ticket to the premium live event by way of winning Triple Threat qualifying matches on the May 16 edition of SmackDown. Two more qualifiers have been announced for next Friday's episode, and Raw is set to kick off their own qualifying matchups on Monday night.

Unlike in years past, the outcomes aren't as obvious. The SmackDown and Raw rosters are stacked with star power and there's any number of different directions WWE can go in with both briefcases heading into the summer and beyond.

The following eight Superstars have the highest chance of reigning supreme in either this year's pair of Money in the Bank Ladder matches, ranked from least to most likely.

8. Giulia

Monday Night RAW
Giulia is now a member of the SmackDown roster.

Fresh off putting pen to paper with SmackDown, Giulia should be considered a dark horse in the 2025 women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.

The former NJPW Strong Women's champion quickly ascended the ranks in NXT and captured the NXT Women's Championship within months of arriving. Although her reign was short-lived, her loss of the gold allowed her to make her main roster debut on the post-WrestleMania Raw and mix it up with Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley in the weeks that followed.

She'll be involved in a Money in the Bank qualifier next Friday night with Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega, and she has a significant chance of coming out on top in her first bout on the blue brand.

Giulia has proven to WWE fans that she's an exceptional talent inside the squared circle and has an aura about her that few others do. She'll undoubtedly be holding gold at some point on SmackDown, but the question is how soon.

Winning the opportunistic briefcase would give her an aggressive push out of the gate, though it's unknown if officials intend to take their time with the former NXT prospect or rush her into singles stardom.

7. Sami Zayn

Monday Night RAW
Sami Zayn has yet to win a world championship in WWE.

Sami Zayn has taken part in his fair share of Money in the Bank Ladder matches over the years but has never been taken seriously as a candidate to clinch the contract—at least until now.

Winning a world championship has alluded Zayn his entire time on WWE's main roster, but with that being brought up more than once as of late, it's safe to say it's inevitable.

Becoming Mr. Money in the Bank would be one way of getting there, especially considering it's been four years since a male babyface last won the briefcase. He wouldn't have to cash in anytime soon but rather wait until closer to WrestleMania season.

In the meantime, there's a story to tell with him having the urge to cash it in on Jey Uso, the reigning World Heavyweight champion and a close friend of Zayn's. He could also announce his cash-in ahead of time for a premium live event and that's how he earns a one-on-one title match with Uso.

The only factor preventing Zayn from being ranked higher is that he's currently embroiled in a program with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman. He's scheduled to team with CM Punk against Rollins and Breakker at Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend, but it's possible he qualifies for Money in the Bank after that.

6. Jade Cargill

3 of 8
SmackDown
Jade Cargill has her sights set on singles gold.

WWE was wise to not shoehorn Jade Cargill into the world championship picture immediately upon her arrival, as she ultimately benefited from her extended run in the tag team ranks alongside Bianca Belair.

Since returning from her hiatus in early March, she's branched off into singles competition and clashed with the likes of Liv Morgan, Naomi and Nia Jax. Her rivalry with Naomi remains unresolved and that could be what keeps her out of the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.

If she does qualify on the May 30 edition of SmackDown, she'll be an odds-on favorite come Money in the Bank.

Cargill may not be ready to hold singles hold at this very moment, but being Ms. Money in the Bank would give her time to continuing developing and honing her skills. Her presentation is already excellent, and with more in-ring experience, she'll be the total package.

The Money in the Bank briefcase would suit her well and could be what leads to her and Tiffany Stratton finally colliding for a championship after planting the seeds for it on the post-WrestleMania SmackDown.

5. Solo Sikoa

4 of 8
SmackDown
Solo Sikoa became the first man to qualify for the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match on SmackDown.

Solo Sikoa should be nowhere near the main-event scene following his failure to win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes on two different occasions in 2024, but that may not stop WWE from having him win the men's Money in the Bank briefcase, anyway.

Sikoa has spent the better part of 2025 so far teasing tension with Jacob Fatu. It's bound to culminate in Fatu cementing his split from Sikoa and Fatu's United States Championship should play a prominent role in that.

That's where Money in the Bank could come into play.

The contract has been cashed in on a world champion almost every time except for once when Austin Theory traded it in for a shot at the star-spangled prize (that he lost) in late 2022. That set a precedent that any championship was eligible, meaning Sikoa could set his sights on Fatu's coveted title if he so wishes.

World Heavyweight champion Jey Uso is another option for him given their extensive history in The Bloodline.

Sikoa wouldn't be a popular choice by any means, but if WWE wants to have him win something of note for a change while also progressing his storyline with Fatu, Money in the Bank isn't completely out of the question.

4. Naomi

5 of 8
SmackDown
Naomi is arguably doing the best work of her entire WWE career right now.

Neither Naomi nor Jade Cargill will be a part of next week's qualifier for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match, so if they're both involved in the third and final women's qualifier on the SmackDown side as they're expected to be, only one can advance.

Of the two, Naomi would be a better fit not only for the match itself but also as Ms. Money in the Bank, especially at this stage of her career.

Similar to Sami Zayn, she's competed in a handful of Money in the Bank Ladder matches in the last decade, yet she'll fallen short of securing the opportunistic briefcase every time. As a heel, however, she's doing some of her strongest work ever and should be rewarded with a run as WWE Women's champion.

There's no telling how much longer she plans to wrestle for and thus it's imperative WWE capitalize on her hot momentum while they can. An eventual feud between her and current champ Tiffany Stratton would make sense, starting with Naomi winning and cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase successfully.

Cargill costing her the Ladder match would effectively further their feud, but Naomi needs a notable win soon and this could provide her with that big boost.

3. LA Knight

6 of 8
SmackDown
It could be third time's the charm for LA Knight at Money in the Bank.

Despite being among fans' top picks to win the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match in 2023 and 2024, LA Knight failed both times. He's held the United States Championship twice and has somehow stayed over with the audience, but now more than ever, he's ready for that next step.

He's been stuck in yet another storyline with the knockoff Bloodline members since before WrestleMania 41 and just lost to the debuting JC Mateo on SmackDown. He desperately needs to bounce back to avoid feeling like a total afterthought, making a win at Money in the Bank all the more crucial.

Solo Sikoa qualifying on Friday's SmackDown increases the chances that Knight will join him by winning next week's Triple Threat qualifier, if only so they can resume their rivalry. However, Knight being a part of the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match for the third consecutive year isn't enough.

He should win the whole thing.

Whether he lurks in the shadows on SmackDown and eyes a cash-in on John Cena or transfers over to Raw and vies for the World Heavyweight Championship, Knight entering the main-event scene is long overdue. The Money in the Bank concept was created for Superstars in his situation and he'd greatly benefit from being its next winner for the men.

2. Charlotte Flair

7 of 8
SmackDown
Charlotte Flair has never before won the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.

As refreshing as her clean loss to Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41 was, Charlotte Flair can't be expected to stay out of the championship picture for long. She's always had a tendency to work her way back into the mix one way or another, and the Money in the Bank briefcase could be how she does it.

Shockingly, she's never held the contract throughout the career, but she has been cashed-in on several times. For that reason alone, she'll be looking to return the favor and put Stratton on the opposite end of the cash-in this time around.

Alexa Bliss returning and teasing a storyline with Flair could be a positive sign for fans who don't wish to see the second-generation star capture the contract. It could also be an indicator that they'll feud while she's in possession of it.

WWE can revisit Flair vs. Stratton down the line, but it shouldn't be in the foreseeable future and going the Money in the Bank route wouldn't go over well with the audience. Flair has been booked in such a way over the years that it'd hardly be surprising to see her as Ms. Money in the Bank.

This is, of course, assuming she qualifies on the next edition of SmackDown, so fans may not have to worry about this unfavorable outcome if either Giulia or Zelina Vega advance instead.

1. Bron Breakker

Monday Night RAW
WWE sees major "money" in Bron Breakker's future.

WWE has officially found their next big thing in Bron Breakker, and it's more a matter of when than if he's wearing world title gold around his waist.

A powerhouse as dominant as he's been so far on the main roster doesn't necessarily need Money in the Bank to reach that elite level, but it certainly wouldn't hurt his push. He had a fantastic first year winning the Intercontinental Championship twice and knocking off a slew of stars, but his second year has been even more promising thanks to his recent alliance with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman.

As a result, he's on the brink of breaking into the main-event scene and could conceivably be a world champ within the next year. A WrestleMania match with Rollins could be in the cards, and having him choose to cash in the contract and defend against his jealous stablemate would make for a simple yet strong story.

Breakker will be teaming with Rollins to take on CM Punk and Sami Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event, but regardless of what goes down there, the two-time NXT champion should emerge victorious in a qualifier on Raw and punch his ticket to Money in the Bank.

Breakker would undoubtedly be booked better than most Money in the Bank winners if he were to take home the briefcase, lending even more credibility to his newfound faction in the process.
