WWE NXT Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights After Roadblock 2025

Erik BeastonMar 18, 2025

One of the most intensely personal rivalries in NXT wrote its latest, potentially final, chapter Tuesday night as Trick Williams squared off with Eddy Thorpe in an NXT Underground match.

That showdown, held inside a rope-less ring with submission and knockout as the only ways to attain victory, headlined a show that also saw the latest from Ricky Saints and a Women's United States Championship defense from Chelsea Green.

What went down, who emerged victorious, and what did it mean for the silver-and-black brand on the road to Stand and Deliver? Find out with this recap of the March 18 show.

Match Card

NXT

Announced in advance of Tuesday's show:

* NXT Underground match: Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe

* Women's United States Championship: Sol Ruca vs. Chelsea Green (c)

* Ricky Saints vs. Ridge Holland

* The D'Angelo Family (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino and Adriana Rizzo) vs. The Culling (Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance and Izzi Dame)

Women's United States Championship: Sol Roca vs. Chelsea Green

2 of 9

Sol Ruca defeated United States champion Chelsea Green in a tag team match to set up Tuesday's contest and the NXT breakout star's title opportunity.

Green controlled a large portion of the match, targeting the previously injured left knee of her opponent. Ruca fought back and rolled late until interference marred her title quest, allowing Green to pick up the win.

The crowd was red-hot for this one, helping to enhance what was a perfectly acceptable match and not much more.

Ruca shined in a high-profile title opportunity, but the spotlight was equally on Green and her entourage, who were instrumental in the heel retaining.

Top Moments and Takeaways

* NXT fans broke out into the Pledge of Allegiance, then chants of "Chelsea for President" seconds into the match. "I'm voting," Booker T said on commentary. Ha.

* Ruca either badly whiffed a springboard attempt or expertly sold her injured left knee. Either way, it worked within the context of the story she and Green told.

* Alba Fyre interfered, only to be wiped out by Zaria at ringside. Niven took the Aussie out, and Ruca answered with a moonsault to neutralize her.

* Backstage, a tense Trick Williams exhibited signs of a potential heel turn as he told Je'Von Evans he will never be champion and the two of them having dreadlocks doesn't make them friends.

Stephanie Vaquer Promo

3 of 9
NXT

The first-ever NXT double women's champion Stephanie Vaquer hit the ring to address the fans following her victory over Giulia on last week's Roadblock.

She announced that the next woman to enter the ring would be her first challenger, with Jordynne Grace answering the call.

Before she could say or do much of anything, Jaida Parker attacked from out of nowhere and stepped up to the titleholder, officially entering the championship hunt.

NXT has a loaded championship picture and with as many women vying for Vaquer and her titles as there are, it is not out of the question that we will see a multi-woman match at Stand & Deliver. Considering we just had a four-way at Vengeance Day, though, it's too soon to run back a match of that type.

The brand should run with Grace or Parker and save the other for a post-WrestleMania run.

With that said, Vaquer showed out on the mic here for someone whose first language is not English.

Top Moments and Takeaways

* "Wrestling is my first language and this proves it," Vaquer said, motioning to her NXT Women's and Women's North American Championship.

* The Chilean said she had her choice of promotions but chose NXT so she could compete in the best women's division in the world.

* "You're not the only one who accomplished something last week. I beat Roxanne Perez, a woman who elevated one of those titles to a completely different level," Grace told Vaquer.

Hank and Tank vs. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura

4 of 9
NXT

Inspired by their interaction with the legendary Hardy Boyz, Hank and Tank looked to build momentum as they battled Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in tag team action.

They brought the energy late in the match, fighting back into the contest and leaving the heels reeling.

With momentum on their side, Tank scaled the ropes and came off with a Swanton Bomb, only to miss the target and crash to the mat. Briggs followed up with a lariat and Inamura added a splash to secure the victory.

A fun, energetic tag match that furthered the story of Hank and Tank's quest to find themselves and success in the tag team division, this was mostly a success.

Briggs and Inamura have meshed better than anyone could have imagined, and winning here enhanced the idea they are tag team championship contenders while giving their opponents an obstacle to overcome down the road.

Briggs and Inamura defeated Hank and Tank

Grade

B

Top Moments and Takeaways

* "You ain't extreme," Briggs taunted Tank before eating a big clothesline that brought the babyfaces back into the match.

* Briggs is arguably the most improved NXT wrestler over the past year, beginning with his Triple Threat against Oba Femi and Dijak, which stole the show at Stand & Deliver 2024.

* Hank and Tank have great energy and had the fans engrossed in the match.

The D'Angelo Family vs. The Culling

5 of 9

Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino and Adriana Rizzo battled Niko Vance, Brooks Jensen and Izzi Dame in six-person tag team action in the night's next match.

What was a hot start by The D'Angelo Family was erased during and after the commercial break as the heels seized control, working over Lorenzo and cutting him off from his partners.

A hot tag to Crusifino and Rizzo to again take out Dame sparked a comeback, only for the unnamed assailants that have plagued NXT since Vengeance Day to attack Tony D'Angelo backstage. The distraction allowed The Culling to take advantage and pick up the victory.

There was some great intensity shown here by the babyfaces, but it was for naught as we saw another beatdown from NXT's answer to The Shield, potentially setting them up for a match with the D'Angelo Family.

Where that leaves things between the babyfaces and The Culling remains to be seen.

After the match, Vaquer was backstage with NXT general manager Ava when Fallon Henley reiterated her demand for a rematch for her NXT Women's North American Championship.

Vaquer, never one to back down, agreed to defend against the woman she beat for the gold, even after it was announced moments earlier that she will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Parker on next week's show.

The Culling defeated The D'Angelo Family

Grade

C

Top Moments and Takeaways

* Rizzo is a ball of fire. She was intense from the opening bell and her tope suicida heading into the commercial put an exclamation point on the first half of the match.

* The NXT fans struck again, this time with chants of "That's my lawyer," as Crusifino unloaded on the opposition.

Karmen Petrovic vs. Jacy Jayne

6 of 9
NXT

Karmen Petrovic sought a measure of revenge against Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne following a recent ringside attack as they squared off in singles competition.

The Bosnia-born competitor took the fight to Jayne and rolled late. A refusal to utilize a steel chair presented by her boyfriend, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, would provide just enough of a distraction for Jayne to recover and score the win.

This got everyone on TV and furthered the story of Adonis being a negative influence on Petrovic, who continues to resist breaking the rules despite his insistence.

That will likely pay off in one way or another soon, but for now, this was an opportunity to give Jayne a rare win while moving an ongoing storyline forward so it was at least productive.

Result

Jayne defeated Petrovic

Grade

C

Top Moments and Takeaways

* Adonis slid Petrovic a steel chair and told her to hit Jayne, but his love interest refused and paid the price.

* Petrovic continues to improve as an in-ring performer, and the opportunities she has received to this point have only helped with that process.

Ricky Saints vs. Ridge Holland

7 of 9

Backstage, Parker cut a promo on Vaquer ahead of their title match next week, while Petrovic and Adonis had an argument in the background.

Back in the arena, Ricky Saints squared off with former No. 1 contender Ridge Holland in his first singles match in NXT.

Holland dominated the bout, targeting the core of his opponent with concentrated attacks to the back and midsection, putting Saints on the defensive.

Despite the pain, Saints fought his way back into the match with a tornado DDT and finished off the former rugby league player with a modified Rochambeau.

There is an argument to be made that Saints should have been featured more here rather than spending most of the match selling for Holland, but it positioned him as a resilient babyface who can overcome an oppressive attack and still win.

The match was good not great, but it highlighted Saints as he figures to be a key piece of NXT's future.

Result

Saints defeated Holland

Grade

B

Top Moments and Takeaways

* Saints' ability to adapt his entrance to fit the timing of his theme music is admirable.

* Where the loss leaves Holland, just months after being in the NXT title picture, will be interesting to watch in the coming weeks and months.

NXT Underground Match: Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe

8 of 9

The rivalry between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe ended with a whimper as their much-hyped Underground match ended in short order as the former NXT champion pummeled his rival into a knockout and drew a referee stoppage.

After the short-lived main event, Williams called out Oba Femi, making his intention to challenge for the world title apparent. The Dark State—the previously unnamed invaders—appeared and Je'Von Evans hit the ring. Shoved aside by Williams, he unloaded as all hell broke lose.

The Shield-inspired group watched from the stands as Evans stood face-to-face with Williams to close out the show. Commentator Vic Joseph asked if anyone will take Evans lightly again.

That question suggests Evans may find himself in the championship picture, which begs the question: Would NXT really run two three-way matches at Stand & Deliver, assuming Vaquer vs. Grace vs. Parker is the other?

One would hope not, with the potential for oversaturation of the multi-person match being very real when WrestleMania 41 is factored into the equation.

And what does The Dark State have in store for Williams, Evans and Femi?

Result

Williams knocked out Thorpe

Grade

C- for the match; A for the energetic closing

Top Moments and Takeaways

* Williams brought the intensity from the opening bell and never let up.

* "Eddy Thorpe, you better learn how to squabble," Williams said after the match.

* "Make sure you've got my title," the victor warned Femi after calling out the NXT champion.

Overall Grade

9 of 9
NXT

There was a lot to like about this show, including the amount of time and energy that continues to be paid to the women's division.

That is the strongest part of the show and the best division in NXT, so it makes sense to highlight it and its top names, including Stephanie Vaquer, who looked like a bona fide superstar here.

Jaida Parker was excellent as her push toward a world title continued, and both Adriana Rizzo and Karmen Petrovic stood out in their in-ring opportunities.

On the men's side, the mega push for The Dark State is on, for better or worse, as they made several appearances on the show. How they intertwine with the NXT title picture, and Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and Je'Von Evans, will be interesting to watch.

Ricky Saints looked strong in victory, and his interaction with Shawn Spears backstage indicated a North American Championship match could be on the horizon.

The main event was rushed and fell flat, which hurt Thorpe more than anything. That, plus the potential for too many multi-person matches for Stand & Deliver were the negatives here, but not enough to adversely affect its overall grade.
