WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025 Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights

Kevin BergeFeb 15, 2025

From the CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C., NXT Vengeance Day was the first premium live event of 2025 for NXT, promising major title clashes and memorable battles between rivals.

Giulia put her NXT Women's Championship on the line against a dangerous trio of challengers: Bayley, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Could she brave this first storm as champion?

Oba Femi hoped to solidify his own title reign by defeating both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. What would these two do to take the NXT Championship from The Ruler?

Fallon Henley hoped to overcome the toughest challenge of her Women's North American Championship reign when she clashed with Stephanie Vaquer.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom had a tough task ahead of them, fighting the powerful alliance of Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura with the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line.

Je'Von Evans looked for revenge against "All Ego" Ethan Page. Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe hoped to settle their conflict in a Strap match.

This was set to be a physical show, loaded with NXT's best talent. What would the silver-and-black brand deliver?

Women's North American Championship: Fallon Henley (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer

1 of 7

Even with Fatal Influence getting involved, Stephanie Vaquer found a way to get Fallon Henley alone. She blasted her with the SVB and Spiral Tap to win.

While the champion put in the best singles performance of her NXT career, this was all about Vaquer.

The focus was on her resilience and then her versatility, making her too much for Henley to overcome.

While it could be argued she is above the Women's North American Championship, a run with the new title should help elevate that gold. She and Giulia will be fighting to one-up each other time and again.

This was a good match, but they may have gotten too much time as they struggled to keep the pace in the middle stretch.

It is still best in the end of give more time than less, and Henley went out looking like someone who will remain a top competitor in NXT going forward.

Result

Vaquer def. Henley by pinfall to become the new Women's North American champion.

Notable Moments

- Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan and Karmen Petrovic watched in the crowd, indicating they could be future challengers.

- The crowd was vocally behind Vaquer with a “Stephanie” chant.

- Henley distracted the referee to allow Jacy Jayne to blast Vaquer with a bicycle knee.

- Jayne caught La Primera with a cane for a near-fall. Afterward, she blasted both members of Fatal Influence with superkicks outside.

- La Primera planted the champion with an SVB on the apron then hit a crossbody on Fatal Influence outside.

- Corey Graves noted Vaquer's win made her the first South-American-born champion in WWE history.

- NXT showed a TikTok video of Zaria struggling to do things Sol Ruca's way at a beach.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Fraxiom (c) vs. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura

2 of 7

Nathan Frazer and Axiom were overwhelmed by the sheer power of Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura. They pulled it out though by diving onto Briggs followed by a High-Low combination on Inamura.

After the result, four masked men struck, laying out the champions. Corey Graves was able to identify Dion Lennox and Culter James but not the other Performance Center talent.

This match might have stolen the whole show. Everyone involved was flying and making the most of the moment despite the limited story behind this contest.

The secret weapons in NXT are Fraxiom, but the MVP of this match was Inamura.

Inamura has barely worked a match in NXT, yet he got over in a big way through his in-ring work. He was physically explosive and powerful, throwing the champions around.

With each successful title defense, it is harder to imagine the next man up is going to dethrone Fraxiom. This would have been a powerful statement win for an up-and-coming duo with high potential.

Instead, it looks like NXT is heavily betting on a young alliance of Performance Center athletes to challenge the best tag team in WWE today.

On paper, this was a solid debut, but four unknowns in masks going after the top stars is rarely a winning formula. They will need to buck a trend that has caused more seasoned talent to fail in similar spots.

Result

Frazer and Axiom def. Briggs and Inamura by pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Grade

Notable Moments

- Corey Graves put over Briggs' growth back to his independent days working with Damian Priest.

- The crowd responded loudly to Inamura's physical style, battering his opponents with chops.

- Inamura allowed Axiom to chop him, but after realizing he wasn't winning that fight, he caught him with a Golden Ratio.

- Axiom planted Inamura with a Spanish Fly then Briggs chokeslammed Frazer into Axiom off the top rope.

- Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo promised to take care of Shawn Spears himself, challenging him to a match on this week's NXT.

Strap Match: Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe

3 of 7

While Trick Williams dominated this match early, Eddy Thorpe stayed in the fight until he found an opening. He caught Trick between the legs with the strap then hit a running knee for the win.

It is far too rare to see matches this physical in WWE. Thorpe dragged Trick down to where he thrives and looked as good as he ever has in NXT.

This is the style of match that could help Trick stand out on the main roster. He needs to be able to lay in his shots against competitors that will lay it in right back.

It is clear this is why Trick and Thorpe were paired together. No one since Ilja Dragunov has pulled this out of Trick and made him look truly dangerous.

It is difficult to build fresh main event heels if they cannot win in the big moments. Luckily, NXT was not afraid to give Trick the loss in this moment.

Suddenly, Thorpe has shown he can back up his words with actions, and NXT can extend this rivalry to a climax inside the NXT Underground.

Result

Thorpe def. Trick by pinfall.

Grade

B+

Notable Moments

- Thorpe and Trick brawled to the outside before the match could begin.

- Trick caught Eddy with an STF using the strap, and Thorpe had to pull himself outside to avoid a tap out.

- In a follow-up pre-tape, Ricky Starks promised to sign his NXT contract next week.

"All Ego" Ethan Page vs. Je'Von Evans

4 of 7

Je'Von Evans came out striking against "All Ego" Ethan Page, but one punch to the mouth followed by a Twisted Grin was enough to put down the still-injured Young OG.

Much like the previous match, this was about showing that one of NXT's best young stars can get physical.

The Young OG may have been flying throughout, but he also made those moves count, hitting them with impact.

Major credit goes to Page, bumping big for The Young OG, but Evans also delivered with his aggressive focus and solid selling.

The pace throughout was tight, helped by Evans' wild style and Page's technical ability. The majority of Page's offense focused on the ankle, allowing the big shot on the jaw to feel more shocking.

The right man won. If Evans won here, it would likely have ended the rivalry. Instead, NXT continued to build up The Young OG as the underdog, seeking his ultimate revenge.

Result

Page def. Evans by pinfall.

Grade

Notable Moments

- Evans put in a mouth guard before heading to the ring.

- Vic Joseph explained that The Young OG had to sign a liability waiver to compete in this match as one shot to his mouth could end his career.

- Evans nearly stomped Page's head into the steel step, but All Ego ducked then blasted the right knee to nearly cause a serious injury.

- All Ego caught The Young OG on the top rope and hit him with the Ego's Edge. Evans barely kicked out, causing Page to finally angrily target the jaw.

- Evans stomped on the jaw of Page as revenge, sending All Ego reeling.

- After the match, Evans could be seen once again bleeding from his mouth.

NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Grayson Waller vs. Austin Theory

5 of 7

After struggling with the best strategies of A Town Down Under, Oba Femi sent Grayson Waller into Austin Theory then hit the Fall From Grace on Waller for the win.

Afterward, the lights went out, and the masked men from earlier surrounded the ring to batter the NXT champion with forearm strikes and a four-man powerbomb.

This was a pure highlight reel contest elevated by Femi's infectious energy. The crowd was completely behind him destroying his competition.

Because his opponents were Theory and Waller, it never felt like The Ruler was truly in danger, but this was always going to be more of a championship elevation moment over a true challenge.

This was a better presentation for the new NXT stable than the first appearance, helped by more dramatic lighting (though hurt by the odd choice to play music during the attack).

It seems like NXT is trying to recreate the magic of The Shield (skull masks, powerbombs, crowd invasion) with this crew, but that is a high ceiling to reach for anyone.

This probably should have been the only time the group appeared on this show, but either way, NXT certainly made some new stars over night.

Result

Femi def. Theory and Waller by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship.

Grade

B-

Notable Moments

- Theory came out on his own followed by Waller, who interrupted his partner's entrance to get his own spotlight.

- Once the bell rang, A Town Down Under worked together, but Femi threw them around together, hitting chokeslams and suplexes.

- The first time A Town Down Under cleared Femi out of the ring, they teased squaring up, but The Ruler dragged Waller outside.

- Theory got Femi on his shoulders, but Femi caught Waller for a suplex as all three fell to the mat.

- Waller sent Femi through a table at ringside with a diving elbow, and Theory tried to pick up the win. A Town Down finally started truly arguing.

- Theory caught Femi with the A Town Down. Waller pulled the referee out of the ring before three.

- Sarah Schreiber interviewed Ava about the actions of the mystery men and future big NXT shows. Arianna Grace interrupted with Santino Marella to discuss the TNA-NXT partnership.

NXT Women's Championship: Giulia (c) vs. Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade

6 of 7

As the action broke down in this battle, Roxanne Perez took out Bayley with Pop Rox. Cora Jade planted Perez with Jaded, but Giulia arrived to take out Jade with Arrivederci.

She then caught The Prodigy with the Arrivederci and a Northern Light Bomb to win.

Stephanie Vaquer came out to celebrate with Giulia before Jordynne Grace arrived to stare down both champions to end the show.

Making this match a Fatal 4-Way at the last minute changed the complexion of this contest and delivered more action than drama.

On paper, this was by far the best match and deserving of the main event spot. However, it could not keep up with a strong show of physical drama and major highlights.

Everyone hit their spots for the camera, but the pace was fairly flat, never rising to the level of the top contests on this night.

It was clear that the crowd particularly wanted to see Giulia vs. Bayley, which may have been an easier bet. At this point, NXT may already be moving onto Giulia vs. Grace instead.

This is only the beginning of Giulia's reign, who will get plenty of chances to face the best in NXT. The only unlikely match to come would be Giulia vs. Perez as this felt like a send-off for The Prodigy.

Giulia has main event two NXT PLEs in a row, and Deadline was the only show in 2024 where the women main evented.

It is clear The Beautiful Madness is highly valued in NXT. Hopefully, this will lead to more main events with Giulia, particularly with more story behind the action.

Result

Giulia def. Perez, Bayley and Jade by pinfall to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

Grade

C+

Notable Moments

- In the locker room, Vaquer promised to stick around to watch the main event.

- The crowd was fully behind Bayley from the opening bell.

- Jade and Perez teased working together until Jade kneed The Prodigy intentionally into Giulia.

Overall Show

7 of 7

Consistency is rare across an entire PLE, but NXT delivered just that over the course of this show.

It was not a moment of major high but rather a strong night of in-ring highlights for the top stars of NXT.

While NXT's women's division keeps growing as the strongest element of the entire brand, much of this night was driven by NXT's growing men's main event scene.

In particular, Eddy Thorpe and "All Ego" Ethan Page walked out of the night looking like dangerous heels at the top of the card while pushing their rivals to get more physical than ever.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom vs. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura stole the show with wild explosive action and a result that could have gone either way by the end.

Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer had solid nights, walking out with the gold, but the real work comes next. They both need to elevate the talent around them to deliver at the highest level.

The major talking point will likely be NXT's new masked stable, but they are still least likely to be the group that lead this talented roster to a great 2025.
