WWE Survivor Series 2014: Full Card Predictions After Hell in a Cell

Ryan DilbertOct 26, 2014

With rivalries put to an end in and outside of the steel at Hell in Cell, WWE Survivor Series 2014 is set to tell new stories.

Rusev humbled Big Show; John Cena outlasted Randy Orton; and a monster derailed Dean Ambrose's quest for revenge.

The bad blood between those enemies won't dissipate, but new animosity is set to emerge.

The upcoming pay-per-view will feature a United States Championship bout, two elimination tag matches and Ambrose's next battle. Based on hints WWE planted in Dallas, backstage reports and personal projections of the arcs of current narratives, the following is a look at the contests that will comprise Survivor Series 2014.

Team Nikki vs. Team Brie

Nikki Bella, Layla, Summer Rae, Eva Marie and Cameron vs. Brie Bella, Natalya, Naomi, Emma and Rosa Mendes

This rivalry isn't over.

Nikki's victory over Brie means that Daniel Bryan's wife will have to serve as her sister's personal assistant for the next 30 days. That's going to lead to resentment and added tension in a relationship that has long been cracked.

WWE can cram the majority of the Divas division into one match, keep this storyline going and promote Total Divas all in one shot.

That's not only the logical outcome—it's the rumored one as well. According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestling Inc) WWE is considering doing a 10-person tag match featuring the Bella sisters.

That's a lot like what WWE did at last year's pay-per-view, pitting the Total Divas cast against the "true Divas." With Rosa and Eva involved, it won't be easy to watch, but it appears to be inevitable.

5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

Dolph Ziggler, Los Matadores and the Usos vs. Goldust, Stardust, Slater Gator and Cesaro

A lack of viable challengers means that the Usos and the tag team champs are likely to continue colliding. Big E and Kofi Kingston or the Ascension would be intriguing challengers, but WWE hasn't moved in their directions at all.

Los Matadores and Slater Gator get an opportunity here thanks to a need for bodies and being on the opposite side of the heel-face divide.

This elimination bout also allows WWE to milk more from the Cesaro vs. Ziggler feud without a repeat of Hell in a Cell, during which the men put on a tremendous show to open the event. They will have less chances to leave an impression here, but it's a way to build toward a clash between them at TLC.

Rusev vs. Sheamus (United States Championship)

Sheamus easily handled the Miz at Hell in a Cell. Given how soundly he beat him and as much of a mockery as he made of him afterward (using him like a puppet while he was out cold), their feud looks to be over.

Enter Rusev, fresh off his submission victory over Big Show, who is need of a way to continue his momentum.

He has yet to go after a title, and there isn't a better time for him to do so. Sheamus has been champ since May and doesn't have a long line of viable contenders coming at him.

Rusev could use the United States Championship as a way to further his anti-America storyline. He gets a shot to end his rookie year with gold in his grip.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry

Big Show's fury is set to shift subjects. He failed to defeat Rusev, largely thanks to Mark Henry.

The World's Strongest Man looked to aid Big Show but instead distracted him, got in his way and led to him being locked in Rusev's submission hold, the Accolade.

Henry has been obsessed with making up for losing to Rusev. It's the focus on that goal that is going to tear apart his alliance with Big Show.

Expect that turmoil to be the precursor to a clash of giants.

John Cena vs. Kane

John Cena

This certainly is not a thrilling option, but John Cena won't be getting his promised big match for a while.

According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestle Zone) the current plan is to have Cena and Brock Lesnar face off at the Royal Rumble. That leaves Cena without a dance partner at Survivor Series, but the chances of WWE just leaving him off the card are minimal.

Expect a repeat of the old-rival theme that fans saw at Hell in a Cell.

Tangling with the Authority over the past few weeks has created some unresolved animosity. Kane can represent Triple H here, trying to hurt the No. 1 contender before he even can make it to his title bout.

Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose

It couldn't be clearer what WWE has in mind for Dean Ambrose next.

Bray Wyatt appeared near the end of the match, cutting through darkness as he ran over Ambrose. The former member of the Shield has had his share of run-ins with Wyatt in the past—none of which will lead to him being more filled with fury than this one.

Wyatt has been out of the spotlight, waiting for his turn. He gets it here, facing Ambrose in what will likely be the first of many encounters between the two.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins

Randy Orton

Right before Hell in a Cell, Seth Rollins made an enemy in Randy Orton, hitting him with the Curb Stomp on Raw.

With both men now freed from their current rivalries, signs point to them meeting each other. Orton couldn't beat Cena; Rollins stole one from Ambrose, who will now set his sights on Bray Wyatt.

Orton's issues with the Authority will boil over, meaning Rollins will find himself in a high-profile match against a new addition to the babyface ranks.

Rollins may have dodged one man's pursuit of revenge, but another is now set to hunt him down.
