WWE Hell in a Cell 2014: Champions Who Will Continue Their Reigns
At the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view this Sunday, fans will likely see most champions in the company fend off their challengers and retain their belts. It will probably end up being a newsworthy show, but certainly not because of all the title switches.
Dolph Ziggler will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Cesaro in a bout sure to be one of the best matches on the card. Good as the match will be though, I doubt the fans in Dallas will witnesses a title change.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Considering how much faith WWE writers seem to have lost in Cesaro over the past six months—his victory at the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal led to absolutely nothing, his promising storyline association with Paul Heyman was dropped out of nowhere and he's been languishing in the lower midcard ever since—it's difficult to see the Swiss pulling out the win at the pay-per-view.
Inexplicably, the company appears to have lost faith in him. How depressing.
I don't want to give up on Cesaro's WWE career completely, of course, but if the company was ever going to get serious about pushing him it surely would have by now.

On other notes, Divas champion AJ Lee will go up against frequent foe Paige.
WWE seems to have a lot invested in Lee right now—she's been pushed as one of the biggest stars on the roster and a centerpiece of the company's women's division. It truly feels like WWE is building her up to be the Trish Stratus or Lita of her generation—certainly she has the talent and charisma to pull it off.
With this in mind, it's difficult to see them throwing all that away and giving Paige the belt again.
No doubt Paige will stay in the title picture—she’s one of the most promising characters in the company right now, and it would be massively unwise for WWE not to continue with her push. But she probably won’t emerge from Dallas with the belt.

I’d expect Sheamus to keep his United States Championship, too, when he clashes with The Miz. After all, he’s only just started his feud with the Christmas Bounty star, and it’s probably too soon to conduct a title switch.
Another possible scenario would see Miz’s sidekick Damien Sandow get involved only for his interference to disastrously backfire and cost his friend the bout. Such an angle would potentially lead to Sandow going face, something that seems inevitable considering the vociferous cheers the wrestler has been garnering from the crowd in recent times.

In certain respects, Hell in a Cell will be a major pay-per-view—Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins’ long-running feud with culminate; WWE will have a new challenger for Brock Lesnar’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship—but as far as most of the midcard belts go, don’t expect too much to change.
