WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from October 23, 2014
The road to NXT Takeover: Evolution is underway, and the biggest news coming out of Thursday's broadcast involved Becky Lynch and her shocking heel turn.
Following Sasha Banks' victory over Bayley, the redheaded Irishwoman attacked the popular babyface and aligned herself with the self-proclaimed Boss of NXT. What that means for the rest of the Divas division remains to be seen, but Lynch did more to elevate her star in one night than she did by putting up valiant fights in losing efforts against Banks and women's champion Charlotte.
Elsewhere on the show, Sami Zayn made it abundantly clear that he is coming for Adrian Neville's title, the rivalry between Tyler Breeze and Mojo Rawley (sort of) advanced and Hideo Itami again found himself on the receiving end of a two-on-one beatdown at the hands of the vile Ascension.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Who emerged from this week's broadcast as a winner, and who needs desperately to go back to the drawing board as the next NXT live special approaches?
Let's take a look.
Loser: Tyler Breeze
Two months ago, Breeze was embroiled in the NXT Championship hunt, a Superstar coming off an incredible series of matches against Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville. Now, however, he finds himself mixed up in a rivalry with the ice-cold Mojo Rawley, whose deficiencies are obvious and whose push is seemingly nonexistent at this point.
Anyone who has been stuck feuding with Rawley has been much worse off than they were prior. Bull Dempsey lost considerable momentum following his brief program with the former college football star, Aiden English was so damaged that his Artiste character was scrapped in favor of the Vaudevillains team with Simon Gotch, and the less said about poor CJ Parker, the better.
The fans have turned against Rawley, and the last thing that Breeze needs to be caught up in is the overwhelming bubble of suck that accompanies Rawley.
Winner: Sami Zayn
There is no denying the general awesomeness of Sami Zayn when he steps between the ropes, but there are very real questions about his ability to be more than the happy-go-lucky babyface that fans have been exposed to up until this point. He changed that Thursday night, approaching Adrian Neville following his successful title defense against Titus O'Neil and telling the NXT champion to hold onto the title tight because he will not have it much longer.
The little threat, as well as the barbs traded between the two, were a nice little hint that the road to redemption may be getting the best of Zayn. Could we see a more permanent attitude change from the Canadian, or will he remain the admirable, hard-working hero?
Loser: Hideo Itami
After suffering a brutal two-on-one assault at the hands of The Ascension a few weeks back, then watching as Viktor and Konnor pummeled Funaki, one would assume that Hideo Itami would be in no real hurry to endure further pain and punishment at the hands of the most dominant tag team in WWE history.
That was not the case, though, as he rushed the ring following The Ascension's victory over Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan, and put up a valiant fight but ultimately found himself left lying in a heap following the Fall of Man.
Perhaps Itami will be more calculated in his attempt to avenge Funaki's beating next time.
Winner: Becky Lynch
After weeks of being the punching bag for her fellow NXT Divas, Becky Lynch earned herself the spotlight Thursday night by betraying Bayley and aligning herself with Sasha Banks.
The heel turn will do wonders for Lynch, who was still trying to find her footing as a rather generic Lita ripoff. Now she will have the opportunity to develop her personality and probably will get the chance to talk, something she has been devoid of to this point.
More importantly, it freshens up the Divas division. Even though the same women have wrestled each other countless times, the shift in attitudes and roles will only help to freshen up the overall tone and direction of the division.
