WWE SmackDown: Spoiler-Free Preview for October 24
The Intercontinental Championship becomes the center of attention on the Oct. 24 edition of WWE SmackDown.
The Hell in a Cell go-home show will feature Dolph Ziggler's latest title defense and a pair of six-person tag matches and meetings between the Superstars on that pay-per-view's undercard. Momentum is on AJ Lee, The Miz and The Usos' minds.
The Intrust Bank Arena (Wichita, Kansas) already opened its doors to WWE fans Tuesday. The taped action won't air until Friday at 8 p.m. ET on SmackDown.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
For those wishing to avoid spoilers, the following preview looks at all the matches set for the show without giving away the winners.
Los Matadores vs. The Miz and Damien Mizdow
Actor and stunt double team up in a match that promises to be a fun one.
Mizdow mirroring The Miz has been a blast to watch. Will he continue that shtick while standing on the ring apron and waiting to be tagged in? Will he continue to outshine The Miz?

The Miz will be looking to use this bout as a warm-up. He has a date with Sheamus on Sunday's pay-per-view.
Fernando and Diego can send The Miz into that title bout reeling from an upset. Los Matadores haven't been on TV much lately and currently occupy the lowest rung on the tag team ladder. They failed to even beat the dysfunctional duo of Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater in their last match on Raw.
AJ Lee vs. Alicia Fox
On Monday's Raw, Paige and Fox outsmarted the Divas champ, making it look as if their alliance had imploded. That distraction was enough for Fox to get the upset over Lee.
Lee now gets another crack at Fox, hoping to not head into Hell in a Cell with two consecutive losses.
Will Paige try some other sneaky trick to get her friend a win? Whether she does or not, if Fox pins Lee two times in a week, she'll have a strong argument that the upcoming Divas title bout should be a Triple Threat match.
Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Championship)
Ziggler's reign as IC champ has seen him defend the title nearly as often as Jerry Lawler laughs at his own puns. It's also seen him lose four straight non-title matches on TV, the last one of those defeats coming courtesy of Cesaro himself.
A match many thought WWE would save for Hell in a Cell comes early, but that will only enhance this edition of SmackDown.
The Showoff and Cesaro have worked extremely well together. Their chemistry is improving, and both men clearly intend on stealing the show each time out.
They have a great shot of doing just that on a SmackDown light on in-ring action.
Nikki Bella, Summer Rae and Cameron vs. Brie Bella, Naomi and Natalya
Nikki and Brie battle before they meet at Hell in a Cell for the right to force the loser to be the winner's personal Andy Sachs.
A good percentage of the Total Divas cast is crammed into this one, meaning fans are likely to see more catfighting than catch wrestling. Summer has regressed in the ring as of late, and Cameron has struggled to improve. As a result, the expectations will be low for this one.
This is WWE's last chance to build toward the Bella-against-Bella clash. That will have fans looking out for brawling outside of the ring or something underhanded from Nikki.
Goldust, Stardust and Bo Dallas vs. The Usos and Mark Henry
The World's Strongest Man is apparently not done tangling with Dallas. The two meet in six-man action that also forces the tag team champs and The Usos to square off once more.
Those squads are headed for a title bout at Hell in a Cell. This serves as a preview of that matchup and a chance for WWE to turn up the animosity on the feud.

It's unclear how Dallas is going to fit in with the bizarre brothers or if Dallas and Henry will end up getting tossed onto the pay-per-view card. The only thing guaranteed about this contest is that it will be better than the "Know Your Bro" segment from Main Event.
With a short list of matches set for SmackDown and Hell in a Cell closing in, one can count on plenty of hype for the pay-per-view on the show. On paper, the episode doesn't look destined to be great, save for Ziggler fending off his uppercut-happy challenger.
