Seth Rollins Will Take Next Step Forward in His Career at Hell in a Cell
At WWE’s Hell in a Cell event on Sunday, Seth Rollins will face off against Dean Ambrose in what will probably be the culmination of their long-running feud—and expect Mr. Money in the Bank to also take a major step forward in his WWE career.
The Ambrose feud has single-handedly cemented Rollins as one of the company’s top heels. Throughout his clash with his former teammate, the Superstar has demonstrated all the presence, mic skills and in-ring ability you would expect from a main eventer.
And at Hell in a Cell, look for the former Ring of Honor wrestler to deliver another sterling and memorable performance. In fact, it’s easy to see Ambrose and Rollins churning out a legitimate Match of the Year contender in Dallas and totally stealing the show.

They’ll be given enough time and weapons to do something good. No doubt Rollins, who has become very famous throughout his WWE tenure for taking big and impressive bumps, will churn out a memorable spot or two. In years to come, this may even go down as the first truly "great" bout of Rollins' career and something that makes a regular appearance on the company's highlight reels.
However, hopefully he avoids doing anything as reckless in his Hell in a Cell match as Mick Foley famously did at the 1998 King of the Ring event. He does have his future career to think about, and Foley even showed up on Monday’s Raw to warn the pair about the impact such a brutal match would have on them.
OK, so it’s possible—maybe even likely—that Rollins will lose clean to his foe at the event. Having lost to his ex-friend twice, Ambrose desperately needs the win. It makes the most sense booking-wise to have the former CZW wrestler emerge victorious.

But a defeat shouldn’t negatively affect Rollins or his momentum. WWE has done a decent job of protecting Rollins over the past few months, and he can surely withstand a loss on pay-per-view.
Besides, he will likely head straight into a feud with Authority teammate Randy Orton soon after the show. Rollins, of course, attacked The Viper at the end of Monday’s Raw, potentially setting up a new storyline. It will be easy for fans to forget his Hell in a Cell loss.
Another thing to contemplate: As great as Rollins-Ambrose has been, it's more than time it finished. You don't want this feud to drag. The Hell in a Cell bout will make for a great exclamation point to end the feud on...and for Rollins to move on with his career.
However, despite how promising things look for Rollins at present, there is still the unmistakable and nagging feeling that he’s playing second fiddle to guys like Orton and John Cena. Indeed, WWE seems to be promoting the 4,689th Cena-Orton singles match at Hell in a Cell as a bigger deal than Rollins' match with Ambrose.

It’s still not certain what match will be going on last at the American Airlines Center this Sunday. Ideally, WWE will go with Rollins-Ambrose, but it’s easy to see the company opting for the safe option and going with Orton-Cena in the main event.
How counterproductive that would be. Note to WWE’s bookers: You guys have to stop living in the past.
But perhaps it’s best not to dwell on the negative factors surrounding Rollins’ current push. He has his push, his Money in the Bank title shot and plenty of screen time. Things look good. And, come Sunday, he will surely deliver yet another superb in-ring performance and solidify his position as a major heel.
