WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of Oct. 13
In the ring, Randy Orton earned a win against Dolph Ziggler, but outside of it, he dominated social media. The lion's share of WWE's best tweets, Instagram photos and viral videos came courtesy of Orton and the RKO.
Videos of people falling on their faces in which The Viper has been superimposed flooded the Internet.
The week's WWE-related social media also celebrated the past, offered unique looks at Superstars and allowed us a glimpse into Malaysia's fandom. We begin with that first item, NXT's The Vaudevillains having fans travel back in time.

Simon Gotch and Aiden English posted a guide to old-timey wrestling on WWE.com. Joey Styles was among the many people who tweeted the link to the intriguing piece:
"The Vaudevillians (@WWEDramaKing & @GotchStyleWWE) of @WWENXT know their old-timey wrestling! http://t.co/6aHj7vjD5f pic.twitter.com/ptRrC9zMzG

It's not clear how The Genius fits into an article about Killer Kowalski and Gorgeous George, but those who need to brush up on their wrestling history will find plenty of information to take in.
Looking back less far into yesteryear, WWE celebrated SmackDown's 10th anniversary. It invited John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long back to the show and filled its YouTube channel with great SmackDown moments.
Not surprisingly, The Rock was a part of many of those moments. In the latest countdown video, WWE compiled 10 of The Great One's contributions to the show:
Just as The Rock is synonymous with SmackDown, Undertaker and Mick Foley are forever entwined with Hell in a Cell history. When WWE looked back at five of the most dangerous moments in that match's history, those two men dominated the list:
At this year's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, we may not get any jaw-dropping spots like that, but we are assured of more antics from Damien "Mizdow."
The Miz will challenge Sheamus for the United States Championship. His stunt double will be there at ringside, likely entertaining more than the match itself.
On Tuesday's Main Event, Mizdow showed he could be just as good a stunt double for The Celtic Warrior. WWE caught a shot of him backstage in full Sheamus gear:
The funny thing is that this picture is far from the strangest on WWE's Instagram account this week. WWE is a bizarre, spandex-filled circus, and a man in an orange wig fits right in.
Stardust out-weirded Mizdow by a good measure. It's not clear why he was driving an ambulance or where he was going, but Instagram captured the face-painted champion in the midst of his drive:
Goldust and Stardust were not among the Superstars who performed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, over the weekend, but Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Sheamus entertained there.
It's not a place WWE heads to often, but when it does, it is welcomed by a passionate fanbase with a talent for cosplay. WWE tweeted a video that shared some highlights of the trip:
Those were all fun moments, but the main event in this week's social media was clearly Orton.
Vine videos of Orton RKOing everyone from winemakers to skateboarders went viral. WWE got in on the action as well, posting a clip of The Viper attacking The Shockmaster:
That would have been a lot cooler than what actually happened. Photoshop wasn't needed to improve Orton's RKO on Ziggler on Monday's Raw.
That strike was one of many RKOs featured in an excellent Instagram video:
As impressive as those were, it's hard to compete with the array of Vine videos that circulated the Internet. The following video captures a number of the best ones:
(Note: Video contains graphic images.)
It appears that no one is safe from The Apex Predator, not the men racing down the pitch or the guy slipping on milk. The idea that the RKO comes out of nowhere now has new meaning.
