John Cena Will Stop Dean Ambrose's Momentum in WWE
John Cena has recently been involved in somewhat of a mini-feud with Dean Ambrose in WWE. The face of Vince McMahon's company has had issues with The Lunatic Fringe since Seth Rollins inserted himself in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Night of Champions, essentially costing Cena the title.
So while Cena has been out for revenge, he has had strong opposition from Ambrose, who wanted nothing more than to take Rollins out himself. Ambrose is now apparently moving on to face Rollins at Hell in a Cell, but he may not be finished with Cena just yet. And if that is the case, then Cena will stop Ambrose's momentum in the company.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
That seems like a tall order to many fans, especially considering that Ambrose is so hot right now. The former Shield member has been on quite the rise in recent weeks, and he definitely appears to be on his way to great things in WWE.
Ambrose just has that certain something, that one intangible which sets him apart from everyone else in the locker room. In a company full of talented workers, this is not the easiest thing to accomplish, of course, but there can be no denying Ambrose is becoming must-see TV.
He's dangerous, he's exciting and he is just fun to watch. Ambrose has incorporated the essential every-man quality that is key to getting over with the crowd and has made it all his own. Much like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan before him, Ambrose has found his way into the hearts and minds of fans that likely see themselves reflected in him.
Ambrose does not look like a pro wrestling superstar. He is not a muscled-up giant, towering over his competition and staring down at the rest of the roster with dominant indifference. He is also not an egomaniac that seeks to keep others down while he does whatever is necessary to get ahead.
Ambrose is just a regular guy who gets into the ring and fights his heart out. Fans can definitely relate to that, and they can also appreciate what he does in terms of rebelling against authority. Right now, that authority consists of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who have reigned over WWE for more than a year.
The Authority is the company's primary heel faction, the group that every babyface on the rise eventually runs into at some point. This is indeed the case for Ambrose, as Rollins is in the center of that group as the man pegged to carry the company forward. And since Ambrose has a problem with him, they have a problem with him.

But Ambrose's former Shield teammate is not the only one he should be concerned with. Cena is in the picture, and even though he is now booked to face Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell, that does not necessarily mean he is finished with Ambrose.
At first glance, there should be no problem with this. After all, Cena is the top dog in WWE, the man around whom the company is built and the man the company follows on a weekly basis. To be seen next to him, to rub shoulders with him, has the ability to put a very bright light on anyone standing against him. This includes Ambrose, who is apparently on his way up the ladder.
Technically, Cena should be giving Ambrose the rub. Technically, Ambrose's star should be burning brighter than ever before. But will that be the case?
The fact is that despite how much criticism Cena receives from the WWE faithful, there is no denying his place in the company. He is the top guy, and as such he must look strong all the time. To imagine that a relative newcomer like Ambrose would get so much spotlight against him that he would leap up in the pecking order sounds nearly impossible to most fans.

Practically no one gets over on Cena unless he is an established star. Brock Lesnar is the best example of this, as he recently demolished Cena at SummerSlam to become the new WWE world heavyweight champion. Lesnar is no newcomer, and he did not need Cena to get him over in terms of building his WWE career.
But Cena did the job, and that job was done to a veteran main event Superstar. Bray Wyatt, on the other hand, was a different monster altogether.
When Cena first crossed paths with Wyatt, WWE fans were likely salivating at the thought of it. Here was a much darker talent than Cena had faced in quite some time, a talent that used psychological warfare not because it helped him mentally psych out his opponents but because it was just fun for him. Wyatt's character was not overly concerned with evolving to the next level; he didn't really care about titles or main event notoriety.
The Eater of Worlds just wanted to destroy. But when he ran into Cena, he was the one that fell in the end.
That feud could have been the opportunity Wyatt needed to become a true main event threat in WWE, but it just did not happen. In the end, Cena prevailed, and no amount of mind games could stop that from happening. Cena looked stronger and better than ever, and he had Wyatt to thank for making that happen.
Will the same be said of Ambrose now? If he does indeed mix it up with Cena in the near future, will he go down in the name of maintaining Cena's place at the top of the WWE food chain? Will The Lunatic Fringe become just another win on Cena's record, instead of the future top guy that many fans believe he is?
The fact is that despite how much work is done to get Ambrose over and despite the success he is currently enjoying, Cena is the last man he wants to get involved with. Cena can help in the short term, but eventually he will always get over, and if that happens, then Ambrose could find himself back at square one. That is a spot that Wyatt is currently in, and many fans do not want to see it happen with Ambrose.
Ambrose is on his way in WWE. With any luck, Cena will stay out of it.
