WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from October 13
The card for the October 26 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view was altered immensely Monday night when Dean Ambrose and John Cena squared off in a No Holds Barred Contract-on-a-Pole match originally scheduled for that show.
However, what should have been a monumental main event turned into a wild and chaotic mess as Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Kane all interfered. Ambrose capitalized on their involvement and retrieved the contract, thus setting up a caged battle between him and former Shield brother Rollins in just under two weeks.
Elsewhere on the card, Orton and intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler turned in an outstanding performance in non-title action, while Big Show and Rusev delivered a titanic battle.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
In one of the best, most consistent and most complete episodes of Raw in quite some time, WWE turned in a show chock-full of great wrestling and solid storytelling. With reality stars Todd Chrisley and NeNe Leakes in attendance, the show could have descended into ridiculousness. Instead, it was sharp, focused and quite excellent.
Which Superstars and Divas emerged as winners, and who were forced to slink away as losers, their path to Hell in a Cell bumpier than ever?

Winner: Randy Orton
After months of standing in the background and watching as Seth Rollins became the lead heel in The Authority, Randy Orton enjoyed a Monday Night Raw in which his character began showing visible frustration with the constant spotlight shone on the former architect of The Shield.
With two personalities that clashed almost from the get-go, it was only a matter of time before Orton and Rollins wound up at each other's throats. Fans saw more than a hint of that Monday night when the once-strong unit known as The Authority displayed some very evident cracks.
The egos of Orton and Rollins are clashing, and war between the two villains is threatening to break out.
Can they work together long enough to rule the wrestling world, or will another duo suffering from an inability to coexist, Cena and Ambrose, spell the demise of The Authority?
Whatever the case may be, The Viper is doing something, which is better than where he was as little as a month ago.

Loser: Nikki Bella
To say that Nikki Bella has failed miserably when it comes to getting one over on her sister Brie is an understatement. It was not until last Tuesday's Main Event that she actually defeated her sister, and on Monday night that favor was returned when Brie scored a huge pinfall victory over her egotistical sibling in a big six-Diva tag match.
After watching Brie overcome the odds in a way she was not able to do herself, Nikki must be frustrated. With a big sibling war between the two occurring at Hell in a Cell, where the loser must serve the winner as their assistant, Nikki (and her ego) can't afford to come out on the losing end once more.

Winner: The Miz
After being booked like a jobber for the last month, The Miz finally was portrayed as the sly, cunning villain he should be on Monday night, using stunt double Damien Mizdow to take the brunt of an assault at the hands of United States champion Sheamus and scoring a non-title victory that should put him in title contention come October 26.
One of the biggest problems surrounding the relaunched Miz character was the fact that he was never really allowed to beat anyone. He jobbed more frequently than he won and was hardly portrayed as being on the level of his fellow former WWE champions. A big win over Sheamus at Hell in a Cell (if that is the direction the company is heading) and a strong title reign could help re-establish Miz as a credible competitor.
There's also the potential for a feud between him and the vastly superior (from an entertainment standpoint) Damien Mizdow.

Winner: Rusev
It has been a while since WWE has produced a legitimate, badass villain who does not back down from a fight or run from a challenge. Monday night, Rusev stood tall in the face of impending punishment at the hands of Mark Henry and Big Show and did not scurry away. Like a man, he stood between them and even made the first move.
Sure, he found himself on the receiving end of a KO Punch, but it was an admirable showing from Rusev, who was also very good in the match against The World's Largest Athlete that unfolded prior to all of the post-match antics.
While it may not be the intention of WWE Creative, what happened Monday is exactly the type of booking that will wind up earning Rusev the respect of the audience in the long run.

Losers: Layla, Alicia Fox and Paige
At one point, Layla might have thought it would be cute to mess with Divas champion AJ Lee, jumping off the apron and refusing her a tag in the same way that AJ did to Emma recently. She was proved wrong when she found herself on the receiving end of a beatdown courtesy of AJ.
WWE's craziest chick took her frustrations out on Layla, who screamed in horror as she was beaten around ringside.
Even bigger losers than Layla? Alicia Fox and Paige, who had the numbers advantage over AJ once Layla refused a tag and still could not emerge from the match victoriously, as AJ caught Fox with the Shining Wizard for the pinfall victory.
