MyCareer Mode
One of the best facets of 2K's annual NBA offering is making its way to the WWE game this year.
Fans who purchase the NBA standout each year know and certainly love MyCareer mode for its intricate behind-the-scenes look at the league and how relationships between players, coaches and the like develop and change rapidly over the course of a given season.
That said, the mode can be considered a bit strange. Dramatic cut scenes and unnecessary drama sometimes dilute the experience. Getting cornered by Carmelo Anthony for not dishing him the rock enough might be a thing, but it is still a strange thing to play out.
But read between the lines—that sort of interaction is a dream scenario for the WWE product.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com posted a press release from 2K Sports that details the mode, which has players start out as a scrub in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This mirrors the rags-to-riches NBA mode, and it also reflects the real-life path to stardom for many of WWE's talents.
Eventually players will work their way to the top and insert themselves into top storylines while interacting with their favorite wrestlers.

Credit goes to 2K Sports for continuing to make additions as the world of WWE continues to spin. The job has been especially hard this year thanks to a number of injuries to top guys like Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, so as WWE pumps out new stars, it is great to see 2K Sports is placing them in the game.
Fans will certainly find holes in the current roster despite its length, which is part of the fun of pro wrestling. The developers will certainly stay on top of things to ensure each notable superstar has a virtual representative.
Soundtrack Revealed
No matter if you love or hate (or love to hate) John Cena, the Doctor of Thuganomics is back.
The man himself revealed that he recently hit the studio with some of the juggernauts of the hip-hop world to craft what is sure to be a memorable soundtrack that holds its own when compared to its NBA counterpart:
The official track list is as follows:
| All Day | Wiz Khalifa & John Cena |
| Ready (feat. Future) | B.o.B |
| Free (feat. Emeli Sandé & Nas) | Rudimental |
| We Dem Boyz | Wiz Khalifa |
| Wild Ones (feat. Sia) [WrestleMania 28 Version] | Flo Rida |
| Bonfire | Knife Party |
| Workin (feat. Alexander King) | Big Smo |
| Ghost | Mystery Skulls |
| Come On Over | Royal Blood |
| 10 | 10 |
| Breaks | Wiz Khalifa & John Cena |
This is an area where WWE has an advantage over other sports. The superstars are entertainers, meaning someone like Cena can pick up the mic and get involved with the video game on a more in-depth level without it hurting his credibility or the media labeling it as a distraction.
For fans, this is nothing short of a major win and another thing to look forward to as the game approaches. A feature-length soundtrack that incorporates favorite superstars is the proverbial cherry on top to what is sure to be a great overall package.
