Why the Dallas Cowboys Proved They Are the Best Team After a Big Win in Seattle
The Dallas Cowboys don’t need a reminder from their critics of the fact that the team has finished 8-8 in each of the last three years. They have had opportunities to clinch a playoff spot in Week 17 during those three season finales, but could not.
The Cowboys are off to a good start this year. A 28-17 loss at home to San Francisco was not an ideal way to kick off the season, but it seemed to have added some fuel to the fire. Since then, the Cowboys have not lost a game.
Tony Romo has improved by limiting his turnovers and making big plays through the air. He currently has a 100.5 quarterback rating. If the season concluded today, it would be the second-highest season rating of his career.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Running back DeMarco Murray deserves a lot of love, as he has rushed for 100 yards in every game this year. He has carried Dallas’ rushing game, going for 785 yards on the ground. He leads the league in rushing, and there is a big gap between him and the rest of the running backs in the NFL.
Romo has two viable weapons at wide receiver in Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams. Bryant continues to play at a high level. However, the biggest difference to this year is that the Cowboys have more success overall as a team. In addition, Williams is on pace to surpass his numbers from last year. Already tying last year’s total of five touchdowns, Williams currently has 18 catches for 320 yards compared to the 44 receptions for 736 yards in 2013 during his rookie campaign.
Dallas’ defense has not been perfect, allowing nearly 370 yards per game, which ranks 21st in the NFL. However, its scoring defense places in the top 10, as its allowed just over 20 points per game. But the statistics don’t tell the whole story.
When it mattered the most, the defense came through on Sunday against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson faced a lot of challenges and did not look like himself. He completed just 14 of his 28 passes for 126 yards. With a chance for the Seahawks to form a game-tying drive, the defense came through in the clutch when linebacker Rolando McClain came up with the team’s first takeaway of the game, picking off Wilson to seal the win.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett deserves a lot of credit for guiding the team to a 5-1 start and preparing them for what was their biggest and most challenging game up to this point.

The Cowboys have been playing well going into Week 6. All that was left for them was to win against a high-powered team. The Cowboys proved what they are capable of after defeating the Seahawks.
With Seattle being the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Cowboys stunned the Seahawks in Seattle and proved they are the best team in football right now.
The Cowboys have some tough games later in the season when they have to face the Cardinals, Bears, Colts and Eagles twice. But the team gained a lot of confidence and will be ready to face any team in the league.
The team is playing far more different than they have in recent memory. The offense has come together and has been three-dimensional, while the defense has allowed teams to move the ball but has limited the scoring.
Romo and the Cowboys have a recent history of being inconsistent, as they have finished 8-8 for three consecutive years. Now, there are no signs of the team finishing 8-8. Instead, they are vying for a top seed in the NFC.
