WWE SmackDown Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from October 10
World Wrestling Entertainment celebrated the 15th anniversary of SmackDown Friday night with some very special guests.
There was a gathering of past SmackDown general managers as Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis joined Stephanie McMahon in the squared circle to kick off the evening's broadcast. From there, an epic 15-man tag team match was booked for the night's main event.
John Cena and Dean Ambrose met inside the squared circle during a special episode of Miz TV. Just days after leaving Cena flat on his face to close out Raw, Ambrose shared the ring with wrestling's top star. Would SmackDown end similarly to Raw, or would the leader of the Cenation return the favor? More importantly, would The Miz ruin the entire segment?

What else went down on the biggest episode of SmackDown in years?
Know your role, shut your mouth, and find out with this week's biggest winners, losers and moments from SmackDown.
Winner: WWE
If the huge 15-man tag team match between Team Teddy and Team Johnny that headlined this week's SmackDown taught us anything, it is that WWE's current roster has some serious depth to it. From former heavyweight champions such as Sheamus and Mark Henry to tag teams such as Los Matadores and Slater Gator, everyone involved in the contest meshed well together, and no one looked out of place.
Never before has the roster been this strong from a performance aspect—to the point that there is very little separating a guy like Cesaro from a guy like Diego. Each wrestler has his own style, and everyone works extremely hard to put on the best match possible. When so many talented individuals are motivated and driven by one another, it creates a much more enjoyable product to watch.
Now, if only we could get WWE Creative to match the quality of the Superstars it writes for...
Loser: The Miz
The former WWE champion was quite excellent Friday night, turning in one of the finest performances on the mic in recent months, but by night's end, he was once again abused and pummeled by John Cena and Dean Ambrose. The latter ended Miz's evening with a double-arm DDT.
Miz is everyone's favorite punching bag. Despite having a new character that seemed to be clicking with audiences on his return to WWE, he has settled back into the midcard as the heel everyone wants to see take a beating. He will never return to the main event title picture in that role, and while that may not necessarily be a bad thing, one has to wonder whether WWE missed the boat with the Grand Mizard of Awesome.
Winner: AJ Lee
A typical Superstar or Diva is stupid enough to fall for a distraction by one opponent and open herself up for a sneak attack from the other; AJ Lee avoided such an assault on SmackDown and cleared the ring of both Paige and Alicia Fox.
A smart—albeit crazy—babyface Diva? Get outta here!
Loser: Adam Rose
So not only did WWE's resident partygoer interrupt Stephanie McMahon to kick off SmackDown, but he also referred to her as a "lemon." If that was not bad enough, he was then forced to watch as the Billionaire Baroness danced around the squared circle to his theme music as he found out that his night of excess was likely to be cut short courtesy of the Big Red Corporate Demon Monster (or whatever they're calling him this week), Kane.
Needless to say, it was not a great night to be Adam Rose. Then again, when he is regularly overshadowed by his bunny mascot, it can be argued that it is never a great night to be Rose.
Winner: Rusev
Just days after being verbally and physically smacked down by The Rock on Raw, Rusev responded with furious vengeance as he squared off with Dolph Ziggler. It should have been a surprise to no one that the Bulgarian Brute had the best match of his main roster career against the company's resident Showoff, but that he was so crisp, so good in both his ring work and post-match promo is a testament to the constant improvement Rusev has made since arriving on Raw prior to WrestleMania XXX.
Rusev may be primed for another midcard feud once he gets through Big Show as soon as this Monday on Raw, but it is probably time WWE Creative took a look at catapulting Rusev further up the card and letting him hang with some of the top stars in the company.
Winners: The Fans
The Rock. Triple H. Promo greatness. Watch the video.
