Guest stars, a slobberknocker and word from Roman Reigns await fans on the Oct. 6 edition of WWE Raw.
When WWE heads to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford from NBC's Today, Reigns, Rusev and Big Show will all be on center stage. Will that be true for anyone from NXT as well? Will the world champ be around?
James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com, backstage reports and hints from WWE's programming help provide those answers and an idea of what to look for when Raw airs on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.

Logic says that the Hell in a Cell buildup has to pick up. The pay-per-view is just three weeks away, and there is still not a single official match on the card.
In addition to constructing the lineup for that upcoming event, the company will be doing its part to spread awareness about breast cancer.
On the Docket
WWE is set to add to its eclectic list of guests.
Per WWE.com, Hoda and Kathie Lee, will be "joining WWE as guest stars on Monday Night Raw." The preview of their appearance notes that it will be centered around WWE's relationship with the Susan B. Komen organization and Breast Cancer Awareness Monday.
On Twitter, Vince McMahon promised that it would be a memorable day for the two TV personalities:
Reigns will be at the Barclays Center as well. Reigns is scheduled for an interview on Monday's Raw, one that he says will be in person.
Speaking with Sam Roberts, Reigns said, "I'll be in Brooklyn at Raw. Talk to the WWE Universe a little bit and let them know my situation."
Brooklyn fans will also witness another collision between Rusev and Big Show. As noted by ProWrestling.net, WWE is advertising a match between the two powerhouses.
Friday's SmackDown saw Big Show apologize for tearing down the Russian flag, only to have the flag used as a weapon against him. Rusev jabbed him with the banner.
Big Show now gets a crack at revenge, possibly leading to a Hell in a Cell clash between them.
It doesn't look like Brock Lesnar will be joining Reigns, Rusev and Hoda in Brooklyn. He's not advertised to appear on Monday's Raw. James Caldwell of Pro Wrestling Torch notes that the following Superstars are listed for the show:
- John Cena
- Dean Ambrose
- Sheamus
- Seth Rollins
- Triple H
- Kane
- Randy Orton
Lesnar's lack of involvement in the current storylines points to him stepping aside until after Hell in a Cell. The Authority, Cena and Ambrose look to continue their run as Raw's central figures.
The question remains whether anyone from NXT will join those men onscreen.
Rumors, Potential Spoilers
A potential NXT crossover hasn't come to pass on recent editions of Raw.
Writing for PWInsider.com, Mike Johnson reported in mid-September that "Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze are currently scheduled for the next few weeks while we are told NXT champion Adrian Neville is currently scheduled to be at the tapings well into October." They have yet to appear on Raw following their debut before NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way.
Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn were backstage when Raw was in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sept. 22, per Johnson. They didn't make it past the curtain, though.
Perhaps this pattern of leaving the NXT stars off the air ends tonight. It seems odd that WWE would pay for those men to travel with the main roster but never make use of their skills.
It's far less likely fans see Christian compete, despite him being cleared to do so.
According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestling Inc), Christian is being kept out of the ring due to WWE officials believing that he is fragile. That's bad news for fans hoping to see Captain Charisma make another run. His fate looks to involve more bench-warming.
Monday's Raw may not feature any surprise appearances, but it should provide clarity on the marquee bout for Hell in a Cell.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required) (h/t Wrestle Zone), WWE is looking to announce the Hell in a Cell main event on Monday's Raw. It's looking more and more like Cena is going to be a central figure in that match alongside Rollins and Ambrose.
Hell in a Cell Build
On Friday's SmackDown, Cena left Ambrose alone in the ring. Chasing down Rollins, Cena abandoned his tag team partner, something Ambrose isn't likely to forget.
Of the situation, Wortman writes in the WWE.com preview, "Both Cena and Ambrose will have Rollins in their crosshairs, but will they have some unfinished business with each other first? After what happened as SmackDown came to a close, it’s unlikely The Lunatic Fringe will be forgiving."
Ambrose won't be alone in pursuing revenge.
AJ Lee attacked Alicia Fox and had Paige scurrying on Friday's SmackDown. Wortman hints that Monday's Raw will be Paige's turn to go on the offensive, writing, "Will Paige be out for vengeance this week?"
The Divas will also get the spotlight as the feud between Nikki and Brie Bella continues. Nikki has used her influence to have her sister battle in Handicap matches. Brie has managed to win despite being outnumbered.
The trend of two-on-one bouts looks to be continuing. Wortman suggests as much in his five-point preview when he asks, "Will we see Brie face (and conquer) even more nigh-impossible odds on Raw?"
Either of those Divas feuds could turn into an official match at Hell in a Cell. The continued focus on both rivalries speak to them getting a spot on the card.
What matches will follow suit?
How Rusev vs. Big Show plays out will signal either the end of that feud or that fans will have to wait until Oct. 26 for the climax. What exactly WWE has planned for Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler should become a little clearer as well.
Monday's Raw offers opportunities aplenty to let the audience know what to expect at Hell in a Cell.
