WWE Programming's Best Match for Week of October 4
This week was fairly strong across the board for WWE television. We're seeing more and more Superstars on the roster being used to their full potential, putting on good matches on secondary shows as well as Monday Night Raw.
In fact, it could be argued that if you're looking for the best in in-ring competition, Raw is no longer the best place to go. Main Event and, increasingly, Superstars are establishing themselves as the homes of great matches week by week.

This week's edition of NXT was dubbed Championship Week, and both title matches on the show are well worth a watch if you missed them. Charlotte and Bayley put on a good match for the NXT Women's Championship that demonstrated just how far both have come since their debuts. The pair still have a way to go to reach their full potential, but there's a lot of promise in NXT for the future of the Diva's division.
The main event saw Tyson Kidd given his final opportunity at Adrian Neville's NXT Championship, and despite being a well-worn bout, it was completely engrossing. Part of what makes NXT so great is the way it effortlessly merges high-quality matches with storyline advancement. This one delivered on both counts and was definitely a must-see bout.
Meanwhile, on the main roster, former partners Cesaro and Jack Swagger had a very enjoyable match on Main Event. We never quite got the expected feud between the Real Americans following their split, but every time they do meet, there's a lot to enjoy.
Superstars continued its strong run in recent weeks with a bout between Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara. Rumours of a cruiserweight-centric show seem to rear their head from time to time, but of late, it seems that Superstars might be set to fill that void.
Match of the Week for October 4: The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw
The first bout on this week's Monday Night Raw was a high-intensity affair that saw all three of its participants firing on all cylinders.
Often, a Triple Threat match such as this will rely on one man being removed from the ring most of the time so the other two can square off. While this tactic was used to an extent, for the most part, we saw all three men mixing it up—and it was great.
With a seemingly endless box of three-man tricks, this was fast-paced entertainment from start to finish. There was never a dull moment and not a second in which the three competitors and Damien Mizdow, The Miz's stunt double, weren't working completely in sync with one another.
There was a time where the inclusion of The Miz would have been seen as a detriment to this bout, but he certainly held his own on Monday. Since he's adopted his "Hollywood" persona and paired up with Mizdow, he's been more palatable than ever before, and while he's no Cesaro or Ziggler between the ropes, he's very capable of rising to the occasion when matched up with good competition.

This was anything from a standard television match. It was lively—something that your average Raw encounter can't always be described as.
It would certainly seem as if we're going to see Ziggler continue to feud with Cesaro, and based off their singles match on last week's SmackDown and this bout from Raw, that can only be a good thing. If this is the sort of performance they can bring to weekly television, it's difficult not to get excited for what we'll see on pay-per-view.
Did a different match catch your eye this week? Layla vs. Rosa Mendes on Raw? The continuing Bo Dallas vs. Mark Henry series? One of Brie Bella's handicap matches? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
